| Food poisoning I got food poisoning on christmas day. I took the kids to the movies to see bedtime stories, which was really good, and ate a hot dog at the theatre. So here we are 24 hours later and Im still puking and having diahrea(sp) and feel like Im dead. Im trying to keep gatorade down but its hard and Im starting to think Ill need to go to the ER for rehydration soon. On the bright side my neighbors are keeping my skin kids and the fur babies are trying to make me feel better by sleeping next to me. I read food poisoning can last 6 days! Im hoping it will be done much sooner than that. So here I go of the the potty, hope no one ever gets this. Rachal |

| Oh no! That's awful! Please don't put off going to the hospital if you feel like you need to go. I am so sorry!

| Are you sure you maybe don't have the flu? It's going around really bad. You need to call the theater and let them know you ate a hotdog and have been sick. I don't know really how likely it is you got food poisoning from a hotdog, but, hope you get feeling better. I think I would go to the Dr just to get checked out and make sure it's not the flu instead. I've talked to 3 other people already today that had the same symptoms(throwing up and diarrhea). Sometimes the flu hits and we associate it with food poisoning. I did get food poisoning once, but, I knew that's what it was, as my son in law and I ate the same thing, and we both got sick at the exact same time Hope you get feeling better soon |

| Been there! I ended up in the ER on 12-14-07 for food poisoning myself. I was given something at the ER to stop the nausea but only a few pills in a scrip to take at home. I went to the pharmacy and asked for something over the counter that would stop the nausea...they told me to use Cola Syrup...it's amazing! You just put 2 table spoons over crushed ice and sip it, slowly, until it's gone and the nausea goes with it. I also kept unsalted saltine crackers with me just to take the edge off...you need to keep little snacks handy to keep your blood sugar in line. I dehydrated very quickly, and you may too, so please don't wait too long. See if your neighbor will go to Walgreen's, or the nearest pharmacy, and get some Cola Syrup for you. I hope you feel better soon... |

| Well I thought Id update everyone. I did end up at the ER. What a pain. They made me sit forever and then took me back to a hallway and gave me an IV. I got 2 bags and then they sent me home. They really barely noticed me BUT I am better now. Not fully over it but Im not going to need to go back. If I feel better tomorrow Ill go out and stop at the theatre and let them know, I doubt they wil care much but they need to know. Thanks for the support guys, Im glad your all here. |

| I had food poisoning for 3 days after eating some BBQ ribs that were too old. I so feel for you. Don't hesitate to go to the Doc, they will rehydrate you and give you something to slow down the output. Take care an I hope you feel better soon.
