My 13 year old son needs your prayers again!! Hello, as some of you know my son Raul had a surgery on Nov 4th due to a Spontaneous pneumothorax on his right lung and it all worked out fine so far, but just yesterday his left lung collapsed:(:( so this morning he had emergency surgery to remove part of his left lung and reattach the lung in place:(, I still can not believe we are going thru the same thing again, only this time on his left side. He is sleeping now, still hasn't completely waken up from surgery:(:(.......His sugery seems to be ok, but we still have a while for his recovery. My baby just turned 13 on Oct 2 and he is already gone thru so much..........2 major surgeries in less than 1 month and a week:eek::(:(. Please just remember him in your prayers as we need them. I hope this is the end of it and that his body heals and recovers quickly:( |

I'm so sorry to hear that you're going through this again. That has been one of my biggest fears since my lung surgery in 2001. I know my other side probably has blebs too that one day might pop but there's no way to know for sure. His case is obviously more severe than mine was if they are having to take off part of his lungs. I don't understand that part at all. All they had to do to mine was first the treatment with the powder (can't remember all the technical terms) that seared the lung to the outer wall and then they had to go in and staple the blebs but they never had to remove part of it. My offer still stands.... if you want to talk to me by phone, please PM me. Praying for a speedy recovery - I know it will be long and tedious but hopefully this time, all will stay well. |

:( :( Hello everyone, I wish I was on here to give you better news, but unfortunally not, I thought my son was doing ok, as the doctors' were saying he was going to get out tomorrow, but the doctor just came and said that it seems his lung still has a small pneoumo:( even after the surgery:(. I hope my son heals soon.........and every thought and prayer is appreciated from the bottom of my heart:(. |

Our prayers are with you. Words cannot describe the emotions you are feeling right now. We are all here for you. I have a daughter that went through a life threatening illness and I understand the emotional torture. I don't think there could possibly be anything more difficult.
