I had once so bad, I had to have my stomach pumped. What did you eat? I ate raw pork Bar B Q at a picnic. I threw up so hard I broke blood vessels in both eye and all over mr face. :( Try to suck on ice cubes,so you don't get deyhydrated. Hugs to you

I am so sorry! Have you seen a doctor? If not, you need to go. Some types of food poisoning require medical treatment. I'm so sorry Vicky! Hugs!!

Didn't eat anything of Saturday other than going to BK and I started feeling ill pretty much within an hour of eating. I brought everything up out my stomach vomitting but my body still insists on trying, it's agongy. All Saturday night I spent in the bathroom and yesterday I did nothing but lay on sofa and had no sickness or diarrhea so thought it had past, ate a small amount... but nope, today I'm still ill. :(

Aw, I'm so sorry for you!! I got food poisoning a few weeks ago (reheated porkchops) and I could barely eat anything for a week afterwards. I still haven't had pork again since it happened.

That's the worst thing, when you have nothing to sick up and your body insists on trying anyway, so you just keep sicking up that yellowy bile stuff....BLECK.

Drink lots of clear fluids and get some rest. Hope you recover soon! :animal-pa

Sorry you're sick. :( The only time I got food poisoning was several years ago when I ate at a Taco Bell.

Did it start within 30 minutes of eating? If not, it could be a stomach flu which are really contagious. Symptoms are nearly identical to food poisoning.

Try to eat ice chips or even pedialite ice chips to keep hydrated. If you can swallow anything, try to take a tagamet 150 and hopefully it will help relax the bile/acid in your tummy. But ice chips and pedialite.

So sorry you are so sick. I thought I had food poisioning 24 years ago and after 2 days of sleeping on the bathroom floor to sick to get up, I went to the er and found out I was pregnant with my dtr. Maybe you should go to your doctor if you're not better soon.

Vicky...food poisoning is a 24 hour thing...you may have some type of stomach virus. If you go to the doctor...they'll give you something for the vomiting.

I feel for you, really I do. I have had it and lost 8lbs in three days.
It's awful to be so sick.
Sending warm wishes for a speedy recovery for you. Stay warm,
drink lot's of liquid and stay close the the bathroom.

Oh it took me 2 days to get "normal" I feel your pain! Def call the place you ate at (if you ate out) and report it a lot of people got sick when I did and the resturant even paid those who went to the hosp. their bill.

I know what you are going through and my heart goes out to you!
I've had it one time, I ate a prime rib dinner at the Bombay Bicycle club and I missed two days of work, it was HORRIBLE! My friend had the same dinner and missed work too!

EEEEEK :eek:! My boyfriend got food poisoning a few months ago, it was awful. He works on the road and we tried to get the place to pay for the Dr. bills but they were being lame about it. ANYWAY... the doctors told him not to eat anything for at least a day or so because whatever "poison" is in your body will continue to make you throw up your food if you try to eat. :(

Yep I was in agongy dry heaving Saturday night, I had the window open to let air in and at one point I heard my neighbour say, "Wow, that sounds painful" :( Drinking water and resting is all I've done.

I started feeling ill within an hour but wasn't actually vomitting or anything for 5hrs or so.

Alot of people said food poisoning is only 24hrs which is why I thought it was Gastroenteris, but my Dr. said it's food poisoning and can last between a few days and a week. :(

Well that's one way to loose weight but not ideal! :( I've been snuggling in a duvet and drinking lots of water and resting lots.

The girls are kinda behaving, they pissy that Mummy's not playing with them. :rolleyes:

Thanks everyone for the get wells. Over the weekend after I got sick I couldn't even keep water down, I was so drained and in agongy.

Yesterday I started with diarrhea again in the early hours and though oh great here we go again but then today nothing. I've drank my own weight in water I'm sure and today I've just felt off, a few stomach cramps once in a while but nothing else.

I've eaten a little tonight and I'm hoping it will stay in there. I want to feel at least a little like myself tomorrow. :(

I sure hope you do get better soon. I know how awful you must feel. :getwell: I've had food poisoning many times, the horrible parts lasted me maybe 24 hours, but then I felt horrible for days after. Yours sounds HORRIBLE! :( Worst time I had food poisoning I had to go to a doctor and they gave me this injection that knocked me out!

You poor baby and with Thanksgiving around the corner! I hope you have a speedy recovery! I had food poisoning 17 years ado when I was preggo with Curtis over bad mussels and would wish(LOL)it on my worst enemy!

Ohhh, being knocked out would of been nice. Those first 24hrs are definately by far the worse when you're body is flushing your system out but it really takes it out of you for a few days too. :( Sucks. :(

I'm from the UK and we don't celebrate Thanksgiving here so I'm not missing out, well, I am cuz I like any day that involves eating a ton of food.

I'm feeling more normal today... I'm not going to push my luck and start doing cartwheels and backflips but I definately feel more like me. :)
