So I've been stalking this thread since it started since its so much fun!:) My family is odd and we always put up and decorated our tree christmas eve while watching "The Sound of Music" on TV. Its my first married Christmas and I'm in Germany so I dunno if we'll be getting a tree let alone keeping any traditions, but I just wanted to thank you guys for the holiday cheer.:cold smil:grinhat:

Well I got my tree up, and some decorations around the house. I still have to put up more lights and my outside decorations, but i thought i would post pics of what i have done so far. You cant tell really good by the pic but i have blue lights on my tree.

a few more... the first is around my daughter's bedroom door. The second is a fiber optic on our t.v., The third is the lights around the ceiling of our kitchen, and the forth is a couple decorations i have on my counter and cabinet door. Not much yet, but i got a start. :D

I just got started on mine, and am trying to talk myself into putting out my Santa collection(over 100).. I just hate packing them back up.. lol

I got my Charlie Brown tree put up. :D

The family gets a live tree -- we're getting it pretty soon, probably. But I have my own little tree for my room. I got it last year. I love it!

Everyones trees are so beautiful! Great job guys!! :D :thumbup: We just got our tree yesterday and I am almost done decorating it (I just started this evening). Our tree is H-U-G-E this year :eek: It is taking me FOREVER to decorate this thing!! It is over 9 feet tall and has 1100 (or more...I think I lost count LOL) lights on it and Lord knows how many ornaments :eek: This is just too much for me lol. I am a total ornament FREAK though, so I need a bigger tree cause I have tons.

I will either take pics tonight or tomorrow and post them here :p

I love all of the pictures of your trees. Everyone is so creative.

Last year I mentioned to DH that I miss having a mantle to decorate at Christmas time. This is the first house that we've had that has not had a fireplace. We have downsized to a tiny bungalow since retirement and there really was no place for one anyway. I was gone for a few days and look what happened:Dto our living room!!!! It's almost finished. Just in time for me to decorate it for Christmas. The marble tile is cream with pink, red and gold veins. I love it. He built the bookcase last summer. Lit the stove last night and it was toasty in the living room.
