Good dinner for a hungover tummy? Hubby has a really bad case of a hangover!! haha any suggestions on something that will calm his tummy down? and let him actually keep it in ? |
This will sound bad, but McDonalds cures me every time. Just a burger, small fries, and a huge Coke;) It's the only thing that helps me if I really tore it up:laugh: If that's not his thing, Dr. Oz says lots of protein;)! |
Gatorade!!!! |
Greasy food always worked for me |
Yep greasy food. |
I agree with everyone else! Fast food is the best cure for me too. McDonalds breakfast is the best but a big 'ol burger and fries works just as well too. Sonic seems to hit the spot too sometimes. |
Homemade cream of potato soup and cornbread. |
I'm gonna go with the majority and agree with McDs. That always used to work for me too. :) |
Like many say a greasy meal works wonders. If you happen to go to the store pick up this drink powder called "Emergen-C" trust me, it works wonders because it helps restore all of the stuff your body lost when you drank. It also gives you lots of energy. My friend went from a puking hangover to jumping around in less than 30 min. Oops didn't read you were looking for meal options. I have heard that a banana milkshake with honey works wonders. Also, chicken soup. |

When I am hungover i get a bottle of revive vitamin water, it literally heals me up! Then I can eat whatever I want! But I agree with the rest, McDonalds! I love the chicken nuggets personally, good hangover food. |
OH! You know what else works? For future reference of course, I do hope he's all better today:laugh: Go to the pharmacy and ask them for cola syrup. Sometimes it's out with the OTC stomach stuff, but sometimes you have to ask for it. It's inexpensive and worth keeping a small bottle in the fridge just in case:D Put a tablespoon or two over crushed ice and sip at it slowly, it will settle the tummy. Regular Coke works too, but the syrup works faster. If you need to use regular Coke, just stir it with a spoon to remove some of the bubbles. I forgot all about this remedy, as it's been a good long time since I've hurt myself with booze:laugh: It's a good remedy for just about any tummy upset, not just hangovers;) |
only the greasiest, bestest food for a hang over is...... case de waffle!!!! (( waffle house!! )) |
Greasy food, grilled cheese sandwich, grilled in butter, works. |
Jack in the Box sourdough jack. I could NEVER eat it any other time!! McD's is a VERY close second :p |
Man Im weird..greasy food is the LAST thing I want to eat when I'm hungover! Mine is Subway with baked lays and a cherry coke...mmmmmm. Also..make him take a b12 vitamin..it gets rid of hangovers. Next time..have him take one before bed of before he starts drinking and he'll be fine in the morning...its a miracle vitamin, I tell ya! |
only the greasiest foods work for me. try dennys. french fries, onion rings and mozzarella stick. i call it a heart attack on a plate, but it always worked for me until i found out i was allergic to gluten! and lots of fluid! |
Drink Dill pickle juice..... or tomato juice. Popsickles are good. But as they say to cure a bad hangover, drink a bit of the hair of the dog that bit you!!! |
Jack In The Box Tacos........ Dr Pepper from Sonic Not that I would know or anything... just what Ive heard:rolleyes: |

My hangover cure is a big plate of spaghetti! (my noodles are made with rice )With loads of meat and sauce and cheese. :) When I could eat gluten, the chili 5 way at steak n shake was the best for a hangover! |
I have been there (more than once) and what I can say is the best trick is a nice and greasy hamburger works for me each and every time. Hope your hubby is feeling much better already :p |
