Do you think some peeps on YT are biased Do you think that some peeps here on YT are kind of biased and or jealous? Do you post a thread and no one replys but another posts a similar one and it gets 50+ replys I have posted pics of my Little Nicholas and it seems no one cares to comment and that bothers me. I Love my Nicholas as if he were my child, but no one comments.........Hey I am just being honest here, I love my baby just as much as the rest of you and I am proud of him. But whenever I post a pic of him I get very very few replys. I was just wondering why?Is it because he is a Parti??? |
I think he is gorgeous!! :wub: I have done threads and sometimes you are very right, they get pushed under the rug. I think its mostly because there are so many "new" threads that they can sometimes go un noticed. |

probably is.... because of the timing and the number of other posts. I'm new to this site, as well, and haven't really done much with it since joining. I'm going to try to log on more often. Don't be discouraged. Your baby is a cutie! |
This board, I'm sure, has tons of posts every minute. There are certain threads that will pop up that I haven't seen before & they'll be dated for a few days ago. I always hit "New Posts" at the top & go to at least page 3 & I still am ALWAYS coming up on threads that I haven't seen before yet they say they've been posted since like 3 days before. Hope that makes sense. |

Aw :(. I've only been here for 2 mos, but I have to say that your posting about Nicholas and his twin llama was one of the funniest I've seen here. I think he's gorgeous. :dribble: And I actually mentioned him as having a beautiful coat in a question I posted last month in grooming forum (question about biewers --I'm sorry for my ignorance at the time I didn't know about partis:aimeeyork)....btw, I've learned a ton from you during the "name the dog breed" thread too! |

Your dogs are gorgeous!!! I think members usually post on threads created by people they know and are great friends with then by someone they don't really know. When you really look you will usually see the same people posting to the same people. But yeah, people are biased, but they can't help it. They usually have more to talk to with a friend. Please don't take it the wrong way!!! I usually don't post anymore but if I was cruising the threads and saw your babies, I would post how cute and gorgeous your babies are (which they are)!!! Not everyday you see such a great parti male with beautiful hair (well not me, atleast)! |
It happens...I've made posts that don't get a lot of responses, and I've seen other people that do the same. I know some of my threads are posted really late, but I think a lot of people respond the most to other people that are well known on here. For myself, I was super active in here a few months ago because I was doing online classes while I was out of state, now I'm back in a regular class schedule and struggling through chem so I never get to log in and see all the different threads. But I don't think that you don't get responses because of your baby being a Parti, from what I've seen I think there are quite a few with Parti's here. |
It's happened to me before too. Then if I posted it again sometime or bumped my post, I would get more responses. I think what happens is a lot of people post replys right from their email. I know I do that first before I read new posts. Things get pushed down the list, and sometimes a few new posts are missed. I know I have asked a few questions on here that have gone unanswered. |
I think your baby is gorgeous. But I also believe sometimes ppl are biased and posts get bumped too!! I'm new here too and sometimes my posts kind of get left alone also. I have been on other types of forums before so I did not let it bend my feelers too much. I love love love the look of your parti. I had never heard or seen one prior to joining this board. They are gorgeous! Yours is beeeaaauttifful. I don't even know anyone in No CA that breeds them either but I will be keeping my eyes open. Hmmm, I just saw this thread, minutes after posting on your "mommy, let me in thread". The thing is when a thread gets a lot of replies, it takes on a life of its own. Everytime someone replies, it pops to the top of "new threads" and more people see it, more people reply, it stays at the top. It works the same in reverse if a thread gets missed... I REALLY think it's the luck of the draw. I have a suggestion for anyone reading this...from time to time, choose the threads you read based on # of replies to that thread. You can search "unanswered threads" or just scroll down looking for replies of 3 or 4...sometimes your bump is all a thread needs to garner a lot of new responses. OP, don't take it personally...please. Your little guy is adorable! I just love pics of him! |
I agree, Last week I posted happy birthday to Baxter and only 1 reply, while the next had 19 lol. That is ok. I love my baby, and that is all that matters. I think your baby is just beautiful. I do know that lots of times I come on just to see what everyone else is saying, but I may be at work and only have limited time to do that, so there isn't time to reply. So maybe it just isn't that people are biased but just busy. I understand what you mean about Nicholas being like a child My Baxter and Zeke are the same to me. My Children kid me about having two furry brothers lol |

I agree with you - first - I think the forum has gotten too big. There are so many posts to go through. I also believe that with the tenure of many people tend to get into groups of likings, dislikings, etc. DO not take it personal at all. Your baby is absolutely beautiful! I have a pup with the parti gene too. She is so smart, absolutely adorable and is so loving. I know some would not want that "gene" but I know others who would LOVE to have one in their family! I love them all - why? It's the big brown, trusting and loving eyes! |

I post in threads and it seems I kill them, but I think the big problem is like me, I haven't been on like I use too, and I miss a lot of the threads or don't see them. First of all, your little boy is precious and darling and cuuuuute!!!!! I am biased....... I only look at 4 legged furry creatures of every color :D because I love them so. :):) All kidding aside, I agree that posts get lost very quickly here. YT has gotten so big that if you don't get on for 3 or 4 days, there are thousands of new posts. When I first joined in 2006, it was definetely not this big and was much easier to get through posts and actually get to know people by their babies. Some get lots of views and no replys, some get few views and lots of replies. Nicholas is beautiful and I know what you mean when you say he is like your child. :love: |
i'm pretty new, but i agree with the people who say, this place is just busy. a person can only reply to so many posts in a sitting, and it's a grab bag as to whose gets chosen. lol. i don't know anyone yet, so i mostly am just looking at a video here and there, and photos. i don't think people are purposely avoiding your posts, i wouldn't worry about that. |
I think your baby is precious! I don't think people deliberately ignore your posts, because I've been here for a while now and I have it happen, too. I don't always respond - but I read MANY posts. Many times I"m in a hurry and just want to get "caught up" by just reading. When I can, I post, and I'm sure many people are like me - but please don't take it personally if you don't get a lot of responses. |
I am not sure why some threads get more replies than others. I have been a member for over a year, though I am not a donating member ( I have to sneak a check out somehow because my husband is against it )I have posted a few that I thought for sure would of gotten a bunch of replies myself and they did not. The only thread I ever posted that took off was one on make up! LOL;) It can be frustrating at times especially when I have posted pictures of my little cuties and only get 5 replies( not counting my own replies thanking whoever posted), It makes me wonder if I am biased on their cuteness ;) I know that members really Don't think they are not cute, but none the less, I stopped posting pictures up on threads and just update my photo albums now and I really don't start any threads anymore, I just post in other's, no hurt feelings that way! |

I wouldn't really take any of it to heart. I know that's hard to do but that's what I've realized. The same thing has happened to me, which has made me hesitant to start any threads myself. (I tend to mostly reply to things now.) You can't help but feel personally responsible for lack of interest in something you post, I know. But like everyone else has said that can easily be attributed to the vast amount of posts that happen! You go away for a little while and there's no hope of catching back up! That and you are right, there are groups of friends, and of course you're going to want to post and talk with your friends more! Your baby is just precious! Don't feel bad, it happens to everyone! Maybe we should make our own group of friends. You know, the people that feel left out. :laugh: Then we could all reply to each other. :p |

I think he is beautiful! And honestly, I would rather not have any of those "holier than thou" type that have issues with partis posting to me if he were my baby. If someone has an issue with partis, that's their problem. Life is way too short to harbor so much anger or passion about the color of a dog if you ask me. :) ;) |
