Meatloaf recipes HURRY! Sorry to be demanding - but I've got hamburger thawing and was wondering if anyone had a good meatloaf recipe???? Thanks in advance! |
This is how i make mine, i dont really measure, just eyeball. About 2 lbs. of hamburger, more for us, lol, a couple eggs, salt, pepper, ketchup, worcestershire sauce, onion, or minced onion, bread crumbs or crackers crushed up, it is pretty basic but everyone likes it. I also sometimes take a can of tomato sauce with about 1/2 can of water and mix and pour around the meat loaf and add potatoes, celery and carrots (you might have to add more water if you have more veggies) Hope you like it if you try it!! |
I used to work in a deli/bakery where we had to put stuff out for customers..this meatloaf recipe is good, and fast 1 lb hamburger 1 egg 1/2-1 package of lipton onion soup mix 7-8 saltines (crumbled) 1/2 cup ketchup salt and pepper. mix everything together, put in 8x8 pan and cook for 1 hour on 350 you can double the recipe and put in 13x9 pan pull it out and put glaze on it, put it back in oven for about 5-10 min glaze 1/2 cup ketchup 1/2 cup brown sugar if you're doing a bigger batch, just add a little extra of each |
Thanks very much - I'm putting it together now!!! |
I used to use the Spicy meatloaf recipie on the label of the Rotel green chili's and tomato's can. It's awesome. Remember to put 2 pieces of bread under the meatloaf to soak up the grease! |

This is my favorite meatloaf recipe: Italian Meatloaf 1 lb. ground beef 1/2 lb mild italian sausage 1/2 c. chopped yellow onion 1/2 c. chopped red or green pepper 1 clove minced garlic (I use 2 or 3) 1/2 c. bread crumbs (sourdough or italian are best) 1 egg, lightly beaten 2 Tbsp. red wine (optional) 1 teas. worcestershire 2 Tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped 1/2 teas. each dried basil and oregano, crushed (I double this) 1/2 teas. salt 1/4 teas ground pepper 2 Tbsp. grated parmesan 1 8 ox. can tomato sauce, divided 1 1/2 c. shredded mozzarella cheese Combine 1/2 c. each of the tomato sauce and mozzarella and all other ingredients. Gently pack into a greased loaf pan and bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 45 minutes. Pour off drippings. Cover with remaining tomato sauce, add remaining cheese. Continue baking until the internal temp. reaches 160 degrees. Let stand 10 minutes. Pour off grease, remove from pan and slice. |

Edited to add.... I've never heard of the sliced bread thing. Super idea though! Will definitely try it. |

After I try the Rotel one, I will definitely be trying this one. It looks super easy and fast and that's what I'm all about when I get home from work! Thanks! |
Instead of using just ketchup, I take a measuring cup and add all different kinds of sauces in the fridge to make about 1cup- like soy sauce, worsheshire, A1, and Catalina dressing is good, Open Pit... Whatever you have and like. I put Catalina dressing on top too it makes is brown and crispy. |
Yummy receipes. Dosen't anyone use green pepper? I remember my grandmother making ML with green pepper also. My family won't eat it this way but it was delicious. |
