soo sorry for your pain I have suffered with migrines for the last 20 years. I've taken imitrex, zomig, maxalt, alhert, and so many others. They would work for a few months but after a while they would stop working. About 4 years ago my Dr. was doing some research on migrines and she discovered Frova. This is for mensrual migrines and migrines caused by a hormonal inbalance. Frova works everytime I take it. Have your Dr. look up some info on Frova. There is no reason you have to suffer when they is medication out there. I do know that some meds can affect the heart but it seem now days all meds affect something. Good luck. |
If this kind of headache is out of character for you and you are not getting relief with the meds you are taking, please see a physician ASAP. It could be something serious, and even if it's not, a doctor will be able to prescribe something that will help you. |
Thank you everyone, but yesterday I just had to go upstairs in the bedroom and just cry myself to sleep. I have had this headeaches for about 8 years now. The doctor has prescribed me co-codamol about 1 year ago and I use to love it because it use to take the pain away instantly but now it doesn't work anymore. I think my body just got use to it... I have had two brain scans in the past 8 years and they have never discovered anything. I wonder if it's anything to do with the problems I am having now... This are my symptoms: I put on 5 kg in the last 3 weeks altho not eating much at all I have headeaches even worse than before I am feeling without any energy I have a few hairs growing in my chin And it hurts a lot during intercourse(something I never had before) So my doctor has done some blood tests on monday and I will get my results next monday or tuesday. The doctor thinks it might be early menopause or even problems with my thyroid...I am sacred cause I was planning to get pregnant next year!!! |

What is nice is you can microwave it or freeze it. Its more of a natural way to try and feel better ;) |

I know exactly what you mean. I get awful migranes sometimes, when all you can do is cry. It's terrible. I recently found something called "Head On Migrane" ... it's a stick that looks like a gluestick, and you actually rub it on your head/temples, etc. It doesn't make it go away when it's that bad, but it is the only thing that will ease it up a bit for me. I also try to have something sweet to pop in my mouth - like a hard candy, and sometimes that helps too. Buy HeadOn - Apply Directly to Forehead Migraine Relief Online at drugstore.com |
Oh, I am so sorry you are in so much pain today. Not very good timing, what with Snowy's arrival, and all. |
looks like everyone is giving some good advice... all i can say is hope you feel better soon~ ((hugs)) |
it looks like you have gotten some great advice, but I'm wondering if you are on any type of birth control??? I ask because I have had major issues with those exact same symptoms you listed and once I switched my birth control, a lot of those issues were resolved. headaches, moodiness, weight gain, random hair growth, problems with my complexion, fatigue...as well as many other minor issues. but the headaches were my biggest issue...and the weight gain. maybe talk to your OB/GYN (not sure what they are called in the UK), and see if switching your birth control is something they can help you with, and see if that helps. It's worth a try, IMO. there are SO many BC options out there...and even if you have never had issues with a certain type, your body does weird things sometimes and it can suddenly start to reject what you are on and a simple switch in BC does the trick. even if it is changing from one brand of pill to another brand of pill...that is what helped me. My best friend also went through it and switching her bc pill did the trick. good luck hun!!!! |
