LOL! I DO feel good. I'm able to do things now that I haven't done in years. I'm actually doing YARD work again. I can keep up with my skinny little sister now.

I actually have trouble shopping. I've never actually enjoyed shopping, and now I don't know where to go in stores.

I take my sister with me when I go now. She immediately sends me into a dressing room and starts throwing stuff over the top.

She's like a drill sargeant - "Put this on - Nope - don't like it - try this - Yep! that's a keeper"

You should hear her! She has more fun than I do!

Thank you - that's what it's all been about. My husband died at 49 and I was so afraid that I'd die early, too, because of the weight I've been carrying for so long. I really ballooned after his death and I knew I had to do something drastic.

My mom had this surgery about 5 years ago and she went from a little over 300 lbs to the 130 lbs she is now.

I bet you are so proud!! I'm so happy for you, you look great!!

I've always felt a bond with you because we both lost our husbands too soon :( (and you've been wonderful ...Thank you)

It's amazing how differently we deal with grief...I went the other way and lost too much weight after my husband died...couldn't eat or sleep for months. My appetite is just now coming back and it sucks - I'm always hungry now.

I know what you mean. I used food for comfort and to make myself numb so I wouldn't have to feel anything. I feel like I've been in a dark place for a long time and am just coming into the sunshine.

Isn't it amazing how our minds work!

You look incredible! I'm proud of you for being strong enough to make such a big move on in your life. I'm sorry about your loss, I, too, lost my dh too young and too soon so I can sympathize with your thoughts and feelings. It looks like you are on the right track to becoming whole again. Congrats!
