| my new ring I was just sending this picture to my mom and decided to go ahead and post it here too. Last year for our anniversary my hubby gave me a beautiful new wedding set. It is fabulous and I love it but I've ended up only wearing it about half the time. I don't work which means most days I'm cleaning or digging in my herb garden or playing in the flower beds which means- no ring. We are pretty active and it always feels sort of in the way. I take it off and forget to put it back on and my husband is always asking me why I'm not wearing my ring. So this year I told him I wanted a thin band- the thinner the better. This way I can always have a ring on without it bugging me to death or getting dirty and when I want to wear my nice set I can put this one on my right hand. So this is my new ring and I am totally in love with it. It feels more 'me' than my nice set and I can't even tell I'm wearing a ring. This jewelry designer is fantastic- I love everything she does. Any other Jes MaHarry fans out there? Jes MaHarry - Sun Horse Jewelry

| Oh my gosh Nikki I LOVE LOVE LOVE that! It is gorgeous! And I totally know what you mean when you don't wear your wedding set- I made sure that DH knew I wanted a thin band (with diamonds of course!!) as the wedding band, so I didn't have to wear the big ole bling when I am doing stuff outside!! You're hubby is soo sweet!! Did you pick it out or him?

| That is such a simple and pretty ring. I Hardly wear my Wedding band either because I am home all day too.

Thank you! I emailed him a bunch of choices but then kept hinting about how pretty I think rose gold is. I didn't have my new set soldered together specifically so I could wear the band without the engagment ring but I still never wore it because I hated keeping the diamonds in the band clean. Then when I wear them together the band always spins the wrong way and drives my crazy. It's a pretty set but I am so much happier with my simple little band.

| Yay thank you- I'm not alone! It was driving my husband crazy. I tease him and say are you afraid I'm trying to look available for the UPS guy or the cute elderly bagger at the grocery?

| Mine always spins too, so annoying. I think I will have to wait before I ask for something new, though, knowing my husband, it would hurt his feelings terribly! BTW- I checked out that website and LOVE that designer. Neat, neat stuff.

| Thanks! That's what I like about her jewelry too- it feel sort of organic, like she grew it or something.

Oh yeah, I felt a little guilty asking for a wedding ring when I just got my new set last year. I promised him I wont make a habit of asking for a new wedding ring every year.

| Well, I don't have a clue who Jes MaHarry is, but it is a very unique ring! I'm with you...I like to take mine off when doing stuff around the house so I can definately see where this one would fit your style a bit better. |

| I DO like that ring! Thanks for sharing the website. I think I shall be browsing it with great interest, and perhaps hinting at a few items for future purchase by my husband. I have a wedding ring where the diamond "stands up" and the prongs are soooo bent from my destructive ways, I am surprised the diamond is still in it. I keep saying "I need to get this fixed"... (but you know how that goes, I haven't done it yet ...) I keep mine off most days too now, for fear of losing the stone or banging it up more. |
