Important Map!!! |
WoW Twalla, that WAS some vital info. The only thing that disappointed me is that the map isn't interactive. That is right up there with the milk/cereal questions last week. |

Im thinking of what kind of question I can ask you this week! |
How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? |
So....do most people in the south (as indicated) call soft drinks "Coke' even if they're NOT Coke?? How would you order a Sprite? "I'll have a Coke?" :p |

Im in Texas... and thats exactly what I do:p Normally at a restaurant, I really will try to say what I want which is normally tea BUT if someone is going to the store...... I say... hey get me a coke which means cherry zero, dt dr pepper, dt cherry vanilla dr pepper, dt cherry pepsi :D |

LOL!!! I love it! I say Soda. I grew up in the Midwest, then lived in Colorado, now Phoenix - so you'd think I'd say "OTHER". BUT, I'm SO confused by the South! If I ordered a "Coke" - what in creation does that mean? Because, Coke is a specific flavor, you know? So, would it be thus: "Yes, um, I'm going to have a Coke, but not a Coke - I'd actually like a Diet Sprite Coke" - I'm so confused. :p |
I say coke all the time unless I'm at a restaurant but I'm also so deep into the habit that I'll sometimes say "coke" when I really mean Dr. P or something else. If my boyfriend's going to the store I say "HEY, GET ME A COKE" and he'll always ask "WHAT KIND". :p Us crazy southerners. |

I drink diet cokes but I will tell anyone around home I want a coke. If I say buy some cokes, hubby better bring home diet cokes. In a restruant I get specific. And it had better have caffiene in it. I hate restruants that don't tell you when they only have caffiene free diet coke. YUCK! |

in the WAYYY down south, everyone mostly knows what we want when we say "coke"... if Mom wants "coke" she wants diet dr. pepper if Daughter wants "coke" she wants caffeine free dr. pepper if Daughter BF wants "coke"... he REALLY wants COKE... lol and yep, we do have to explain when out at a restaurant... or just order tea :) |
Thats very cute! |

CRACKS ME UP! Because we just don't use "coke" here! Loving it! |
"Coke" really bothers me. I don't like that at all. :p |
I'm from the south and I say Diet Pepsi- but only because that's what I want.:p When I was growing up people always said cold drink but you have to say it as one word- coldrink. As in "would you like a coldrink? Yes, I'd love a diet pepsi." My dad's family in GA always says Coke but I think that's what they usually want for real. Or it might be- "would you like a coke? Yes, I'd love a sprite." Ohhh the confusing world of flavored carbonated beverages.:D |

Is the double meaning too confusing and you're afraid you might slip up?:D |
