You know, I joined this group thinking I could make some friends and gain some knowledge and with the exception of a couple, I have felt very unwelcomed because of the breeder where I got my baby and because I had a wonderful experience with them. Maybe if my baby had been sick you would have had open arms.

Then I find this post about two yorkies that need help and I think WOW something positive, but then it just came down to bashing people about whether or not they should be allowed yorkies if they can't pay full price for them. I am sure that the majority of people on here are very nice and only here to brag about their babies but I have yet to see anything good and have seen some very snobbish attitudes. On that note, I'm out.

There really are more nice people than mean people here and it takes a while to figure the good from the bad out. BUT there is lots of good imformation here too so please stay even if it is in the back ground not posting for a while and you will begin to see it is really worth it.

I felt the way you do for a while but now I stay away from the negative threads and stick with the good news!;)

Aww so sorry you feel that way, but I understand what you mean;), on I have to tell you this is a internet/community and a very large one:eek::p, so we get all kind of people in here, but like Jeri said there is way more nice people than mean one in here, and a lot to learn, if anyone is making you uncomfortable or you feel that is attacking you some how, you can always report that individual to the moderator or administration:animal-pa or hit the ignore button:cool:

That is very nice of you to say but this one woman is making it way to personal and I don't thave the time or energy for it.

Hoping that you will not be discouraged & stay with YT. :) There are a great number of people who are wonderful. I have been surprised sometimes & dissappointed, but the wonderful people surely outweigh the dissappointments. It's hard at first especially if you are new to a forum, but eventually you realize that there are a vast number of opinions. Just hoping that All can remain polite in their opinions.

Wow, I am so sorry you feel this way. :( I'm not sure if I saw the threads that you were talking about or not, but I certainly can't imagine anyone here bashing someone because they didn't pay "full price" for a Yorkie??? To be quite honest, I'm not even sure what "full price" is :confused: There are members here that have gotten their Yorkies for FREE, and no one has bashed them :confused:

I really hope you don't leave. I hope that you will just browse around YT for a while...there really are LOTS of good things being said and done here, and LOTS of very sweet members who are here willing to help anyone they can. I promise you, there is way more GOOD here than there is bad :) Please do not let a few rude comments (or whatever they were) make you upset enough to leave. :(

There is really nothing that compares to Yorkietalk. Ignore the one bad egg in the carton and you'll find lots of good ones ;)

From time to time I have felt that there were some posts were not very nice but for all the valuable information that I have learned and on-line friends that I have made, way outweigh the negative.

There have been things that I would have never learned or thought about if it had not been for YT. There will always be those that have very strong opinions, but that is what they are--opinions.

I would say to give it some time and you'll get to meet some really nice folks.

I know what you're upset about...Everyone I've ever come in contact with has been kind and understanding!!! I just wanted a place to go and have fun with Yorkie people who love their pets as much as I love mine...I hope you change your mind and stay. Just avoid the person who upset you... Blessings... Hey Deer Park - Houston here :) ...don't let a few posts run you off - look around the site some - there's far more here than what you saw.

Everyone has opinions and that's what makes it interesting......and most of all - NO ONE Wants to see anyone with a sick dog. You won't agree with everything - no one does....and no one is "better" than anyone....We're all the same - we love our dogs.

We may have our dogs in common but this site is also a good way to meet really good people. Take it from me - I've met some awesome people here - in 'real' life and online.

I hope you will give YT another chance. I have a pom from a pet store and a sick yorkie from a bad breeder and I love them both dearly. It doesn't matter where we get them, they are all loved the same.

I've been on here for over year and in the beginning it would hurt when I would see comments like that and I would want to lash out at those that were nasty, but I've changed my way of thinking, now when I see that I either get off of that thread, or I just say (out loud to my computer) WHATEVER YOU CRAB! Yes sometimes my kids look at me like I've lost my mind!

You can always use the report abuse or ignore buttons. If it is a personal attack against you or anyone else, Admin will take care of it if you report it because that is against YT rules. I think it is also against the rules to discuss other Yorkie forums here though.

Please try to remember that YT has over 30,000 members and not everybody is going to get along all the time. Most of us try though. :)

I am sorry your YT experience has been a painful one. I hope you will change your mind and stay . ignore the bad posts, i have seen them too .If it is not helpful to you, then just blow it off. do not take it personally. After being on here for a while you tend to develop a thick skin. The majority of Yt'ers are very cool and supportive.
If you ever need anything at all, please pm me. I am usually a very nice lady. I hope you stay and see that YT is a very wonderful .

Like I said on the other thread, this site is full of very opinionated people and people who care tons about the betterment and safety of animals. Therefore, in return you're going to get the opinions and advice you were asking for. I'm honestly "shocked" that someone can ask for advice on a touchy subject and honestly expect to just get sweet replies, that's not how the world nor all people respond. I'm not going to go out of my way to sugar coat something but I also feel as if she wasn't being treated bad, opinions/advice was given as it was asked for - it's the owners right to choose whether they take the advice or not.

I have to admit there have been times when I stayed away, and did not post for a while because of some very rude people. (and the posts were not even directed at me) I just figure, as said before, don't let a few bad eggs ruin the carton. :)

I have No idea what you are referring to. I absolutely agree with you. However, if very new people come on here and experince all that is negative it will turn them off to YT.
I am outspoken too on many threads , however I try not to be offensive. The thing is I never know how someone is going to take it. :aimeeyork

I hope you'll give YT another chance too. I've been here more than 3 years now and only had one person be completely hideous to me. There is an ignore member option here I've used on a couple people and I have to say this really helps...:p Other than that, I LOVE this site. We have Gift Exchanges, awesome halloween contests, the wonderful YT calendar and even better than all that is all the support you're given whenever anything upsetting happens to you or your dogs. :thumbup:

Can be a little dangerous when you are talking about someone's children and let's face it, that's what this is. On top of it there is a little anonimity involved so it is sort of like mixing talking about someone's children while you are driving past in a car that you will never see again- a place where I see people do things at red lights that frighten me.

The yorkie talk does get frank and borderline bald nervey BUT and not the but that negates everything else before it- you are conversing with a lot of Yorkie experts. This is a collection of brilliance for your dog. Don't minimize that!

As I went to the site of the Breeder that was at issue that started the problem that a member found offensive that she felt pumeled for supporting, with a very open mind, after having Yorkies from a small child to now- age 45, I see some areas of honest concern. I wanted to like them- to defend them for you. I wanted to be in your camp,:thumbup: but after YEARS of Yorkies, this Breeder says and is "selling" some questionable things that may want to concern you if you are considering purchasing another puppy from them. They may be the nicest people going, but their website is questionable and that is all any of us probably know about them. :confused:

Someone said something not nice about my Breeder and I WAS offended- my Breeder was Mother Theresa!!! The person who made a coment is not even a member anymore so I can't even ask what the heck??!! I know how you feel! Anyway, weed through it if you can and we all need to remember- these are our babies! Put a nice screen on your Keyboard!!! Thanks for the not so gentle reminder we are NOT in our cars!:rolleyes:
