| Marla | 09-04-2008 07:23 PM | Just as some things are more difficult for a small dog, some things are easier, like walking across a narrow plank. I was most worried about Andrew with the Lab puppies challenge. Puppies twice the size of him could have seriously injured him. I know my dogs are very nervous around large breed puppies. I didn't think that was a fair challenge at all. They should have had some small breed puppies for Andrew to lead out of the maze.
I rewatched the first few episodes today and there were issues with Lori and Andrew early on. Like when Lori enlarged the opening in the paper covered hoop.
I've actually been pulling more for JD and Galaxy. They've consistently done well. However, in reading the bios of all the trainers today, JD is a professional trainer and Galaxy one of his stars. They travel around the country doing stunts. I"m not sure how fair that is, but I don't think that mattered as far as qualifying for the show.
Travis (with Presley) has an interesting bio too. It says he grew up with dogs and that he's an aspiring actor. Yet in the show he's said he doesn't know much about dogs and hasn't been training long. I'm thinking that his whole persona of being a novice dog trainer who doesn't know what he's doing is an act to look like an underdog. Interesting strategy. I think it's working. He would very well win this thing. |
