I asked about that in my classes and unfortunately no I cant. Well I can but I have to purchase a seperate program in order to do that and its really expensive, like $1500

Ouch!! That's really expensive!! I believe the Singer machine you can do that, but you pay about that much for the program and the machine together. I was hoping the Innovis could, too. So you are limited to designs included and the ones you download that others have made then?

Well you can find just about any design possible on internet so it didnt bother me really. That only complaint I have with the machine is that it only uses a 5X7 hoop so I cant do any designs bigger than that. Which for dog clothign I dont need to but if I want to make stuff for Tess I really wish I had that option now. And supposedly I can do some small scale design work on my machine (I have yet to figure this out) but no I cant scan a picture or digitize any of my current files, it requires the expensive software for that.

I have a Janome 9000 that I have had for about 13 years now. If I am able to ever upgrade I would probably upgrade to the Janome 11000. It connects to the Internet and I would like to have that feature.

I owned a Bernina embroidery machine also, but did not like it as much as my Janome.

I have the quantum futura machine myself, i love it. The newer models come with the vista patch already in it but when i got mine it wasn't out yet. I had it for about a year before my laptop died on me and i got a new one that had vista and then it took a while to get the patch but now it works great. You can get all kinds of discs for it, i go on ebay to get a lot for about $10-$20 each. And you can even design your own designs to use with the right programs. Mine came with it. Before i got the futura my hubby bought me a husquarvarna for over $2,000 but the discs each cost over $200 so i really like the singer better.

I have the Singer Quantum XL-6000. I absolutely love it. With the software I can do just about anything I would ever need to do.

I made up my mind, I'm getting one of the Singer Futura's. I'm ordering it off a website where I can put it on Layaway, that way it doesn't put a damper on our budget. The website I found is ran by a lady who helps all her customers and has positive customer reviews out the roof.

Did you know she has a yahoo group for Futura owners? I have been subscribed to it for awhile just to see what the machine is about.

For that, just look for the "auto-digitizing" software to be included. I've seen several that have it.
