IT'S ALLL ABOUT THE RING..haha..I don't just want a ring, I want a rock that will sink me to the bottom of the ocean... :D

LOLOL!! Jim wants to get me a 3 carat for our 2 year anniversary - he could only afford a 2 carat when we got engaged. But I love it - it's a beautiful ring and it sparkles like there's no tomorrow. Although I would love a 5 carat rock! hehe

Personally I like the emerald solitaire, I love the princess cut but it seems kinda common now and the emerald cut is very pretty too. My engagement ring is a past present future marquis style and if I could go back now I would have just gotton one large center stone instead of paying for 3 smaller stones.

I know it sounds materialistic to want a big ol rock but I cant help it. I dont expect anything else. I mean, I pay for my house my car and all that other stuff, so why cant he get me a big ol rock??

I really like my set. It is a princess cut. The wedding band wraps into the engagement ring.

Me too... thats how I feel. AND is an expression of his LOVE for you... so it should be DAMN big! and you're gonna have it forever,,(hopefully) so make it a good one that will last the test of time! :D

If you don't know much about diamonds learn before you go shopping. I didn't know anything when I went shopping for earrings (from a store in the mall - first huge mistake) and ended up with crap. Long story short, I learned as much as I could before I went to buy a new pair from a jeweler my sister trusted, ended up not spending that much more and they are gorgeous. I catch people looking at my ears all the time. It is really worth the time to learn. Congratulations!!!!
