Does anyone do "character" drawings? - YorkieTalk.com Forums

I think that is what they are called....

Every year, we have my DD's picture drawn at a local arts/crafts fair...but this year, the guy wasn't there!

The drawings are just done in black marker on white paper. One year, she was drawn on a stage w/ a guitar, another on a 4 wheeler, etc.

Does anyone know what I am talking about? Does anyone do this?

I can take a picture of one of her old drawings if needed.

Well, there's only one solution as far as I can see.

You absolutely must drop everything, get your daughter on a plane and head to Disney. I'm sure they have character artists there!

In the event that doesn't work for you...hang in there, yt is full of talented folks. I'm sure you'll find someone!

And Miss Vicky, perhaps she's using Canadian English...or US English....I have no idea what version of English they speak in Oz.

I love those drawings! I'm planning on getting one done with my BF at the Kansas State Fair this coming weekend. Good luck finding someone here to help you out..with all the talented people on this forum, I'm sure someone can do them!

Yes...that is what it is called!!

We've had them done every year...the guy charged $10 for one. The paper was bigger than a normal size sheet of paper.

Does anyone draw these?

Thanks! I love them too and love having DD's made each year. We were bummed when the guy wasn't there this year...but there are several other fairs coming up...but I don't recall him being at any of those in the past!

I found this one online....it is kind of like what we are looking for...just black and white.

I have all of my DD's other ones matted and framed in black frames...they look good!

That's such a great idea, to have one done each year. I can't remember seeing any caricatures on YT, as such, but I know we've got some wonderful artists here. Mike

had some pics of Eddie and Jack in his avi awhile ago. If I remember clearly they were caricature-like (but I could be all wet). A friend on another forum made them for him. Maybe you could send him a pm.
