| I've REALLY Hurt Myself! So last night I did a real good number on myself! I fell asleep on the sofa and woke up aching all over so I thought I'd head off to bed... I get up and I decide not to use any lights because I didn't want to wake Amelia up. So I'm half asleep, it's dark and I'm heading up to my room. Now I know you're all going to think I tripped on the stairs or something... believe me, I would of prefered to of fell from the top, barrel rolled, hit my head on every step and landed folded double at the bottom compared to what I actually did do! I've been redecorating my bedroom and nothing is in the right place, I was painting the baseboards the other day so I had all the furniture in the middle of the room. Right next to the bed is a chest of drawers that stands as high as my chest bone.... it shouldn't be there, obviously I'm not used to it being there and in my sleepy state I'm really not thinking about anything anyway other than getting in my bed and hoping that the dogs aren't taking up too much space. I'm getting undressed and I've just undone my jeans, I bend to take them off and I SLAMMED my face flat into the chest of drawers! I didn't realise what I had done for a couple of seconds, I was so disorientated! My face went flat into the top of it and my chin slammed into the edge! I actually laid there and cried myself to sleep! This morning my chin was throbbing. I speak, laugh, eat, anything that involves opening and closing my mouth and it's unbelieveably painful. I have a bump about 1.5cm diameter but the bruising hasn't really come out yet. I can't work out if I've just banged it hard and it's just painful or if I've actually causes a fracture. The bone area itself is the most painful. So anyway, I'm going to go see if I can have an xray tomorrow because I'm sure it shouldn't hurt that much. I can't wait to explain how I did it. I can't say without laughing, I'm SUCH an idiot!

| Oh, I'm sorry that sounds extremely painful! When my nephew was like two he was sitting in my lap and he head butted my chin and I thought it was going to knock me out! I thought for sure my bottom teeth were going into the uppers! I hope everything is ok with the xray!

| Sounds really painful. Take some ibuprofin until you can get the x-ray.

| Yes it does and I didn't want to freak out and scare my nephew with how painful it was, he didn't cry a bit! I can remember thinking, it's a good thing I love you little guy because the pain was so bad! I hope you feel better soon!!

| Man, I am so sorry for you!! Take ibuprofin up to 400 mg a time. Ice it. Heat can make it worse. Hope everything turns out okay. Just think it could have been worse. Your teeth could have broken or gone through your lip. How is your nose?
