I have had a few things happen in my life that make me a believer in ghost. I also seem to know when things are going to happen a few day's before they do, A few ghost things that really stand out I will post. I don't need you all thinking I am a weirdo;) My husband Brian's oldest sister Sheri was born in October of 1969, She died September 7 1991 in an auto accident. I had known Brian for about 3 years prior to us dating but had only known his family for 6 months prior to Sheri's death. Brian and I alway's go and visit Sheri's grave and we will leave pictures of our boy's for her too because....When I had our first son I had given all the family pictures of his hospital photos we took one to Sheri's grave but when I had baby #2 I forgot Sheri's photo for her, we had a family dinner at his parents house and Brian's aunt Tina was in town so I made sure to give her a picture and I sware to GOD I felt someone touch my shoulder and ask" where's my picture at Brandy" and It was Sheri's voice. Brian's grandma said she herd it too but no one was next ton me to touch me and she said I turned real pale. At the same moment that happened, Sheri's picture on the family room wall fell off the wall. Needless to say, we took her picture out to the grave the next day and I have never forgotten to give Aunt Sheri her pictures ever again! We live in an older home, we started renovating the Kitchen and weird things started to happen. Our house alway's belonged to the original owner's family. We know the last owner of the home was an elderly lady named Dorothy Walker. She had died a year prior to us buying our house, her daughter was selling it as she is in her 60's and did not want it. I saw a lady standing in the kitchen one night on my way to the bathroom and she looks at me and asked me "what are you doing to my Kitchen, it's a mess" I turned around and went out to my husband and asked if he could see the Lady in the kitchen and then described her to him, and he goes " no but I have before and she has asked me were all her wine went" We have sense found out more about Mrs Walker from the family that lives next to us, Their family has alway's owned their home too so they knew the history of our house and Mrs. Walker and her parents that were the builders of the house. We learned that Mrs. Walker had a thing for wine:) so we really think it's Mrs. Walker that we see every now and then. Sometimes she likes to mess with the lights and I will ask her to stop because she was scaring my younger 2 boy's and she will stop. for the most part it's just little things like that nothing big or scarry had happen. She loved her house and I guess still does:) |

About 6 years ago....I was having trouble sleeping and stayed up late doing dishes...SOMETHING came up behind me, put IT'S hands on my lower back and PUSHED me into the kitchen counter!!!!!!!!!!! I told my husband and he didn't believe me until I showed him the bruises on my hips from it the next day!!!!!!!!!! Scared the @&$$*%(*&@&$(#$(*& out of me!!!!!!!! Then.......... one of my kids woke up cold one night, only to look up and see an older lady in a old fashioned night gown brushing her hair in an old vanity.... Then we had company stay with us...They had shut their door for the night. And to keep it shut had used the hook latch. Repeatedly the door would open. They would get up and close it again and again...Confused why the latch wouldn't keep it shut. The last time they got up to close it there was a shadow of a old farmer guy standing there! He had a straw hat on...Needless to say the door didn't get shut EVER again. And their stay was cut short! |
We had moved into our new house in oct 04 in AZ. I mean it was brand new, new home development new. Anyways, one morning I had gotten home from work (I work nights) and went into the den and I heard this crash in the kitchen, I found a frying pan on the floor in front of the stove. I know that doesnt sound strange, but what is strange is where it came from. I had put the dishes away before I went to work, and it was in the cabinent on the island across the way and diagonal. It would have to have flew across the kitchen and land there??? Then I would hear my name called at various times...and no one there... My BIL and SIL came and lived with us after their baby was born until they could get back on their feet and she said she would hear her name called too?? Once we were watching a movie and after it was done she went into their room to grab a diaper for the baby (I went w/ her because we were chatting). When we went into their room the baby's baby swing was swinging by itself (It is one of those you have to crank). When she screamed my hubby and her hubby came running in, it stopped. They thought we were crazy! Then once my husband was working on his radio in his car in the garage, he was taking pix of his aftermarket stereo to sell. He said he felt someone watching him, so he started taking pix in the direction...and when he looked there was an orb ... and it was coming toward him (over 2-3 pics). (I have if you want to check it out) Once I was cooking breakfast around 3am (husband leaves at 4-4:30am) because I was off that night and would be nice to have breakfast together before he left. Anyways, I heard a man's name, in my right ear, clear as day say " Mmmmm, that smells GOOD". At the time it didnt scare me, it more confused me...like "huh?" Then I turned around, no one there, went to the front living room....no one, back living room...no one...I went to peek in the bedroom, hubby was sound asleep, even my Yorkie (who barks at every little thing) was sound asleep. I went back to finish, then I started thinking and replaying it in my head and it freked me out!! I went and woke hubby up and made him sit in there w/ me!!! LOL My SIL and BIL moved out and it was just us 3 (me, hubby and bella-bean) Then the doorbell started ringing! I would get up, walk all the way to the front, no-one there... I mean it got so bad I had my hubby hook up a video survallance camera we got at fry's electronics for like $200 w/ a b&W monitor. (BTW when he hooked up it it was like 11pm and no kids outside, when he turned up the sound, we heard kids laughing/playing, he went to check, nothing....so he was all "we dont need the sound ne ways") The doorbell again started ringing, and when I would check the monitor, no one was there! I sleep days and work nights mind you, I started getting REALLY mad, so I said "Quit ringing the damn doorbell, no one wants you here, in the name of Christ LEAVE!!" -it never rang again...... My husband would make fun of me, saying I must be crazy or soemthing, because he didnt believe in these things I was telling him....until one night... I was working (I work 6pm-6am) and he said was sleeping, felt someone watching him, he said he saw someone standing next to the bed and when it saw him loking at it, it ran toward the front of the house thru the wall and disappeared....he said it was pitch black in the room, and that this figure was darker than the dark room, so dark he was able to make out a man shape. He never made fun of me again....and till this day sleeps with a nightlight even if we travel he takes one w/ him! ...needless to say we moved....moved to a different state even...last year. All this is true and happened in a house we had built, brand new on an old corn field. crazy eh? |
These stories are all really creepy. Thank Goodness I'm reading them during the day. lol ok when we moved into our new house last year, Lexi (my daughter) was three. Shorty after we moved in she developed a friend call....CARMOUNT. I was thinking this was just one of those invisiable friend kind of things, but the name freaked us all out. Even my hubby. It just sounds like an evil spirit kind of name. lol Well anyways, she told me that Carmount was going to stay with us cause he didn't have a mommy and wanted me to be his mommy. I just laughed it off at first. But then if she would get in trouble and do bad things that she never would ever do before and I'd ask her what she was thinking and what would make her do that and she would respond...Carmount told me too. After that we all started to get freaked out a little. One night she wanted to sleep on Lauryn's floor and told Lauryn Carmount would sleep with them too. Lauryn was totally creeped out and came down stairs and said Lexi said Carmount was sleeping in our room. So I prayed and then I told Carmount to go home in the name of Jesus, To leave our house and to go home. I had my parents come over and pray over our house too. My dad's a preacher. Not really sure what it all was but felt as if maybe it was a child spirit in our house. Lexi has never talked about Carmount again, but is scared when it gets dark time outside. We've been working with her on that and its getting better, but man it was creepy around here for a few weeks. lol |

When I was about 10 yrs. old my aunt, uncle and cousins were over for a visit. Well our home was on the water and we had stones instead of grass and my job was to pull the weeds and rake the stones to keep them neat. Anyway, my cousins had been outside earlier and they ran all over the stones and I knew I'd have to rake them tomorrow before going out so I decided that I'd do it after they left. And I did. Well, it was dark out and I was raking and all of a sudden I saw this spirit type ghost float by. I SWEAR on my life this is true or at least I believed at that my young age it was. Although, I will still say now at 40 yrs. old that I saw what I saw. Well, I stood motionless until I could finally just drop the rake and run inside. I must have looked pretty scared because my mother kept asking me what was wrong and I remember her saying to my father she is white as a ghost. I told them that I saw something and I know that they thought it was my imaginastion or an animal but I'll say it again at 40 yrs. old I'll still say I saw what I saw and it is something that I WILL NEVER forget. I'm still afraid a bit of going out in the dark. Don't laugh please but I am. Elaine |

I 100% do! |
i absolutely LOVE this kind of stuff! im obsessed with all the different kinds of shows like paranormal state, lisa williams, ghost hunters, ghost hunters international... OMG haha ive only had two experiences.. one of which i didnt know at the time. i grew up in an area very very close to new orleans in a city called slidell.. that being known, it was just this year... when i was bored and started to look up "hauntings in Slidell, LA" on google. there was only like 3 things that poppped up. one being a hospital (that i was born in), a jr high school and the other being a pizza hut. i looked at that and was puzzled... a pizza hut?? when i looked at that i remembered something that happened to me and my sister when we were about 5.. my parents took us to pizza hut one night for dinner, and us being so young we had to go to the bathroom together. it was just a regular bathroom, no stalls.. well, we both went in, and i remember i went first, then my sister. i remember her telling "no, dont lock it im alomst done" because i noticed she never locked the door. (it was one of those locks that go through a hole in the door frame) so i didnt.... but when we went to leave the door was locked! i unlocked it and the door still wouldnt budge.. we were in there for what seemed like 30 mins, crying hysterically... remember, we were about 5. then i heard a ladys voice from outside (waitress) saying something about "girls stuck in the bathroom"... and "this always happens" blah blah.. she opened the door like it was nothing. that being said... i found pizza hut hauntings in slidell, la.. the same pizza hut as the one we went to.. i clicked it to read the description. and it said that there is a ghost that likes to change the thermostat and lock waitresses in the bathroom. heres the website: Shadowlands Haunted Places Index - Louisiana |
I guess my answer is "Yes" I believe in ghosts, although I've never seen one. However I HAVE been visited in two separate dreams by my deceased parents. I had a nice conversation with my mom. I know it wasn't just a dream, because of how we conversed and what we talked about. I won't go into details. Just know I do believe in "something" more. Maybe they came to me in a dream rather than as ghosts because they knew I'd have a heart attack if I actually saw a ghost! :D I must say though, they looked "different" to me... so maybe they were ghosts in a dream. |
I don't believe in ghosts, never have. I also don't believe in evil spirits. |

YES I DO...My moms house is haunted and 3 of us were there to witness it |
I have a good one for you this is my sisters ghost story but she passed away last year and she would want other YTers to know it. She didnt talk about it often cause it scared her. She was a new Mom (16 years ago) and her and her husband and new baby Josh moved to NJ. Her hubby was gone a lot to NYC for overnight trips and she would be up late and litening to the baby monitor and she would hear Josh talking and laughing. It started happening in the day time to he would sit in his room and carry on conversations with someone. One day my sister asked him what his friends name was and he said Mr Macy. My sister said oh ok sweetie and ignired it. She started hearing noises and doors would shut things would fall. Josh and Mr Macy talked alot and Josh would say weird things that a little kid just couldnt think of on his own. Long story short when they went to sell the house Mr Macy had been the original owner in the early 1900's she about crapped her pants. Her baby had been talking to an old dead guy. My Mom told my sister to be careful cause Josh and him had made friends and he may decide to follow so my sister asked Mr macy to let josh go and to please stay with the house.. I laughed so hard to think of my sister carrying on a conversation in an empty house...just the thought of it made me laugh.. |
