A friend and I used to play with a board all the time when we were teens. The last time I ever played with it was at her apartment, we were alone, it was the middle of the day, and we sat in the middle of the living room floor calling spirits. Usually it wasn't too scary or anything, but this one time we got a 'bad one'. :( The board started going nuts, spelling really fast, then a porcelain figurine smashed to the floor in her bedroom and the kitchen cupboards started banging open and shut. We ran out of there SO FAST and refused to go back until her mom came home from work. She moved a few months later. Hope we didn't leave a nasty spirit in there for the next tenants! |
I tried the ouiji board with dorm mates in college. It was kind of scary...but I would not try it again. I don't like that weird stuff. :eek: |
I found this on a couple of sites but will quote this one: The Museum of Talking Boards: Ouijastitions If the planchette repeatedly makes a figure eight, it means that an evil spirit is in control of the board. Crazy...but when we played with the ouija, the movement of the planchette was constantly a figure eight. Of course, we did not know this back then and I didn't even realize this until earlier this year! |

We played a long time ago ( we were 8 and 11) (4 of us)and asked it questions. My friend asked how old she would be when she died it told her 16.. years later she passed away shortly after her 16th bday from brain cancer. We gave the board away because it scared us |
No i never played with one myself but in middle school one of my teacher's had one, for some reason his classroom was always cold and weird. Well we had free time and a couple classmates were messing with it, and they got freaked out. I won't ever play with one and wouldn't cause my mom always told me not to do that stuff, she said you are basically inviting evil spirits and i refuse to do that. |

i think the witches out there use the ouija boards to make friends with the demons.. they are disguised as angels of light.. using fear....but act friendly towards those who worship the devil.. the only way to protect yourself is the blood of jesus.. whats wrong with burning a ouija board?:eek: |

I played with one a long time ago when I was a kid. My grandmother had one that had belonged to my mom and aunt when they were kids. She said they just always thought it was like a game...see if you can catch the other person cheating...said it was marketed and sold as games back then. We tried to 'trick' each other, but never acted as if we were 'channeling spirits' or trying to 'contact the dead' or anything like that. She'd probably still got in in her storage building somewhere amongst all the other stuff from over the years... Personally, I don't see what the big deal is. I guess an object, ANY object, is and represents what you choose to make it. I could take a stapler or something and use it in some sort of ritual or channeling and act as if was some dark object and it would mean the same thing as some board with letters and figures on it. I think things are only 'evil' if you choose to let them be. |

I've never played with one but I've always kinda wanted to. All my friends are too chicken to try it... or maybe they just have a healthy sense of self preservation. I guess I just kinda wanted to see if anything happens. I'm such a skeptict but I love to watch the paranormal shows on tv. |

I made the mistake of reading some of this last night out of curiousity of course but then I was scared and sick inside for even reading what I did. Why did I need to read stuff that was only going to scare me and make me feel like I had open the door for evil to enter into my life. I am a Christian and I do believe all of this is real and in the past when I wasn't Christian I also played with it and was scared by it. So I guess I just needed to say I wish I had not read last night because I went to bed feeling really intimidated. Not what I need or want in my life. Never again will I open a thread that has to do with any of this stuff. Safest thing to do I think. God bless you all. And if satan is attached to this thread at all I pray that he leave in Jesus' name AMEN!!!! For everyone who read this thread I suggest you pray that if any spirits attached themselves to you by reading this thread that they be thrown to the cross of Jesus never to return in Jesus' name AMEN |

Right. Because a door is exactly what you are opening to demonic activity. The Bible is very explicit on any kind of witchcraft. In the old testament it explains how demons came about and were cast out of heaven along with Satan because of him wanting to take authority away from God. But, if you are a Christian the Bible says greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world, meaning any demon spirits. We have the authority through the blood of Jesus and they have no power over a Christian. If you ever saw deliverance on a person that has messed with that kind of stuff you would never play around with it. |
It does work... I used one about 15 years ago and it scared me so bad I couldn't sleep all night. I felt something evil in my house.. It used the initials of a loved one we had just lost. This is how it got our attention. After about three hours of asking questions, it then told us to call certain phone numbers, then when we wanted to quit, it got very angry, using the f-word, going CRAZY.. I was never so scared in my entire life. I called my dad because he had always told us never to play with one and he told me to get it out of my house. I knew I couldn't throw it away so I put it outside until the next day and had my sister in law take it back to the owner. I ask god if he would just let me go to sleep and forget the experience, (he did) I'd never touch another one again and to this day I've never touched one. I know some of you are thinking, "these people are nuts", but they are very dangerous. I also think they like people who are good and strongly believe in god.. It's like a portal to our souls. NEVER AGAIN...... |
I've had my Ouija board since I was 13. It still sits upstairs in my closet. I'm a total believer in that sort of stuff, tho I haven't touched that board in years. My current home was built in 1872. I'm not playing with that. I still read Tarot cards tho, a lil less creepy ;) |
Nope, I have never tried one and never will. It is an accident waiting to happen. Why open the doors for evil spirits to come, we have enough evil in this world already, we don't need any more. I won't even watch evil horror movies as they can have the same affect on you. |
Wow I am REALLY surprised so many of you believe in that stuff! :confused: I've messed with ouija boards a few times when I was younger and nothing EVER happened. :rolleyes: I absolutly LOVE LOVE LOVE stuff like that... ghost stories, horror movies, hauntings, ect. but I don't know if I actually believe in any of it. :( |

Exactly. It's all about letting an overactive imagination get to you. Keep in mind the history of it: it was invented as a parlor game, not as a means of communicating with the dead, evil spirits, etc. Just like witches; read a few books on the history, and you'll never believe in them again. "Witches" were actually people who worshipped the power of nature, not the power of Satan; look up the true meaning of the word "pagan." Most who were put to death were accused of being "witches" in the first place because someone wanted to get revenge on them. Boy, did Dan Brown and Frances Hill spoil that stuff for me! |
