Senior Yorkie Talker | O-Zone killer?!?! So my dad has an '84 corvette and has obviously had it a while.... he usually takes the top off during the summer, blah blah, lol.... this year its been SUPER hot out here so he decided to get the a/c fixed (hasnt worked since he got it).... we go into the shop and find out that his car runs on an R12 a/c system that kills the O-Zone!!!! We had NO idea.... I, for one, had never heard of a cars a/c being bad for the world.... anyhow, he decided to convert it over to the more common 134 so NO MORE O-ZONE KILLING!! I was just shocked by it so I thought I would share it, lol.... so if you know anyone who owns a corvette made in the early 80's to early 90's ask them to check out there a/c systems and fill them in on this info.... there is already enough going on that is affecting the Earth

| I am sure there are conversion kits to replace the old AC system. I know our '68 Camaro SS, we bought an AC system for it...pretty costly, but better then the original and better than nothing!

Senior Yorkie Talker | yes there are covnersion kits, he had that installed today.... his original a/c cooled up to 50 degrees this one cools to 60 degrees still cool but in a "hot" car like that, it is a big difference, lol....
