What's your favorite skincare/Sephora products??? Hey all- I am bored. When I am bored I shop. I had a great dream last night about having a shopping spree at Sephora and woke up totally happy until I realized I was dreaming!!! Anyway, I want something new. I just started taking really good care of my skin now that I am twenty-five, washing and toning diligently, sun screen, moisturizing, etc., but want a new product. I don't care what :p Just something new. What do you all love? What can't you live without? Thanks!!! |
When I was your age (EEEEeeekkkk!! Can't believe I typed those words ... I'm ONLY 29 :D) I really wanted to start taking care of my skin as well, and saw a dermatologist for the first time. She put me on a skin care regimen that consisted of a glycolic acid facial cream in the morning and a retin-A combo at night. It has worked wonderfuly - both products actually stimulate skin cell turnover and cause the outer layers to slough off - almost like a mini peel every day. I do have to deal with some occasional flaking, but these products have definitely kept the fine lines at bay. As far as non-prescription stuff goes, I love Neutrogena's tinted daily 30 SPF moisturizer - it gives your skin a subtle glow and protects against sun damage - I can go without foundation when I wear this. Stuff from Sephora ...hmmm ... not sure if you have oily skin or are into Bare Escentuals, but the mineral veil is nonestly a miracle product- it's a finishing powder that goes on almost invisibly, gives you an "airbrushed" look, and keeps my oilies at bay all day - which is a miracle because I have super oily skin and with any other powders I get breakthrough shine within an hour of application. If you're really bored and want to browse product reviews, definitely check out Makeupalley - Street Smart Beauty - Homepage ... i always look stuff up there before I buy - it's a great resource. |
I LOVE Sephora! One day i left home w/o doing my make up so i went to Sephora and did it there, they have so much to choose from! I use Laura Mercier make up products but i looove a lot of their products, i dont have favorites, i always try everything when i go lol |

I have tried the Neutrogena sunscreen before and didn't like the texture. I am a total texture freak, and if something makes me oily or feels wierd on my skin I can't do it! I have been using Clarins sunscreen daily, and while I don't hate it, I think I am going to try something different next time. But yes I LOVE the mineral veil, as well as the mineral make-up. Super good stuff. Oh and I LOVE Makeupalley.com, totally a good resource!! |

Sephora rocks! I spend so much each time I go there, hubby despises that place now!:D The skin care products I only use are from Caudalie (French company) and Juice Beauty. Both companies make only 100% natural beauty products (ingredients derived from nature) I swear by them!:thumbup: |

Her China Herbal skin line is great for someone looking for a good starting place and especially someone in their 20s wanting to keep their skin in great shape HSN - also carries Sephora - I'd compare prices or when they will be on special there again. They do have a mascara I want to try and would love to hear comments on - Dior DiorShow Black Mascara at HSN.com |
I wish I could afford to shop at Sephora :( |
i use Neostrata, Rodan and Fields, & Jan Marini! ;) my mom is an esthetician.. so she gets me on the good stuff! ;) i dont do much.. but my skin is pretty 'normal'.. not too oily/not too dry. i wash my face every night though! ;) and i moisturize every morning & most nights! ;) every person is different & it really depends on your skin and what you need.. creams/moisturizers are always good! ;) & a good facial cleanser! i also can't live without this stuff that i use to 'spot treat'. i only get a zit here and there(sometimes if im stressed or pms or somethin like that:rolleyes:).. so when i do i use this stuff and it dries it right out(and goes away!!) MY FAVE! i also have a zeno.. thats pretty cool too-works well for 'spot treating' ;)! |
Sephora is like a toy store for grown up girls. I don't even wear very much makeup and I'm still in heaven in Sephora. I don't get my skincare there but if I had to list my number one can't live without product I get at Sephora it would be DiorShow mascara. Second would be my Nars blush followed closely by Nars eyeshadow. Of course you don't HAVE to buy these things at Sephora but it is too fun to pass up a chance to play.:D |

[QUOTE=MissPinkBarbie;2184052][FONT="Comic Sans MS"][COLOR="Magenta"] Sephora rocks! The last time I was there I almost picked up the cleansing oil. My hubby just rolls his eyes when I say I "need" something from there!! :p |

You need to try it! Buy the "trial kit"/"travel size" bag first so you get an idea and a little bit of everything. (eye cream, lip balm, face wash, shower gel, etc). From there, you'll know what you like the most..That's what I did, I ended up LOVING the face mask, foaming face wash and lip balm! So now, I buy them in normal size. |

(love it!!) :D |
I bought the Diorshow Mascara a couple of months ago, like it but don't love it. I love the Prescriptives' Lash Envy more. I am a total junkie when it comes to beauty products. Sephora is the best toy store. Right now I am trying out Murad. |

Ohhh nooo, I didn't need ANOTHER must try!:p |
Well all this Sephora talk prompted me to place an order. I ordered: Juice Beauty exfoliating cleanser Caudalie Instant Foaming Cleanser Korres Vitamin Concealer Over $50 qualifies for free shipping (and you always get 3 free samples) and I used code 'Shiseido' to get a free deluxe sample of Shiseido SPF 55 Ultimate Sun Protection Cream. If you don't want to order $50 use code 'V12R8A' for free shipping over $25. I used it last week and it works. Here are a bunch of other Sephora codes- Sephora Coupon Codes - all coupons, discounts and promo codes for sephora.com I've also used the 'eyesample' code successfully. Also make sure you sign up for the Beauty Insider. You get a deluxe sample for every 100 points. Sephora is an hour away for me so I do a lot of online shopping (obviously:rolleyes:) I always check this site before ordering anything online. It always has great codes.:) |
I LOVE Sephora. It's kind of overwhelming though! I purchased Kinerase Intensive Eye Cream after trying a sample. It is $59 (yikes!!) but this stuff works. I had a milia under my eye and after using the sample for 2 days it was GONE. I think it's important to know when to splurge and when to save. And I think this is an area it's okay to splurge in! I have never tried DiorShow mascara but have tried pretty much every other high-end mascara out there and ALWAYS go back to my L'oreal Waterproof Voluminous. It stays and holds a curl all day, other formulas make my lashes go limp. I also purchased Anastasia brow powder and brush and I really like this. The color isn't too dark and it just gives a nice polished look. I am getting married and was on a mad hunt for foundation that didn't contain Titanium Dioxide (washes out in photography). I purchased and returned Laura Mercier's foundation. It just did not cover very well throughout the day. I went to a MAC counter instead and tried Studio Fix, which I really like so far. Another great product is the Urban Decay Primer Potion. It is an eyeshadow base that makes it last all day, prevents creasing, etc. I have tried other brands and this has been the best so far. The only thing I don't like is the packaging. It's pretty but difficult to get the product out. I am a makeup fanatic!!! :D :D :D |
since we are on the subject of LASHES and MASCARA.. i must chime in again! :p:p there is this stuff by Jan Marini.. you put it on at night and it makes lashes grow in thick and gorgeous!!! it speeds up the growth time and is AMAZING! ;) they also have it in an everyday mascara.. (my mom offers it for her clients!;)) great stuff!!!! |

I just placed another order. I've been stuck in the house all week due to the tropical storm and I'm doing waaay too much online shopping. Here's what I got: Cargo Blu-Ray collection I'm sure the "high def" angle is a gimick but it's getting good reviews on Makeup Alley and I have a blush and lip gloss sample from my last Sephora order and I like them. Also the usual 3 free samples plus a deluxe beauty insider sample, I chose a Too Faced mascara and I used code 'backstage' to get a free Laure Mercier mini lipstick. Fun, fun fun!:) |
Oh no! I knew I shouldn't have read this thread ;) I have been looking for a good moisturizer with spf that doesn't irritate sensitive skin - any recommendations? Since I turned 25 (I know it sounds silly) I've really started to worry about getting fine lines and want to prevent that! |

i didn't know you were an esthetician.. ;) you remind me of my mom(which is a very good thing!;)) (although my mom is a little older ) but you're so cute and very close with your daughter, it seems! ;) love it! |
I love going into Sephora and browsing around, but I'm trying to cut back on cosmetics purchases (I've got way too much already) so I tend to just go in and browse. Did you all know about Sephora's perfume samples? They will allow you 3 samples a day. :thumbup:Just ask for which fragrances you want and they'll take the bottles and fill up tiny little atomizers for you. They're perfect purse-size perfumes! I always have one or two in my bag. And the benefit is you get to try out the fragrance for a few days before deciding if you like it - let it mix with your chemistry, see how much your man likes it on you... ;) |
