Okay, this is going to be really gross but I have to ask! Does anyone think its possible for the "pack" to become saturated with saliva and then drain out whenever I tilt my head back or lay down? I know,:embarasse disgusting, but that is what I think is happening and the cause for the terrible taste in my mouth. I just tried rinsing with warm salt water, it helped some but not much. |

I went through this 20+ yrs ago, but I remember how terribly bad it hurt :( Yes the packing probably does smell bad. Think of the heat and probably food that's in there. I'm surprised they haven't had you come back sooner. Are you on antibiotics? Try a little mouthwash if you think you can handle it. I hope you're appointment is first thing in the morning. Take care, Tammy |
I'll have to try some mouthwash. At this point, I'm not sure anything is going to help my breath smell better until I get this packs out though.:( My BF has been gone all day and just got home awhile ago. First thing, he went to kiss me and immediatly noticed my breath. He claims that it literally smells like poo!:eek: Unfortunatly, my appointment isn't until 12:45 tomorrow. |
it's probably the infection making your breath smell. thats what mine did omg 17 years ago when i had mine out. I feel your pain, i had a molar pulled last week. tea (iced or hot) will help. I have been letting my get room temp before drinking it. Take 1000 mg of tylenol with your motrin every 6 hours. that what is getting me through. |
I survived my appointment and I'm delighted to announce that my breath smells wonderful again! :yay_jump: They gave me a good rinse and repacked me. I go back on Thursday to have the packs taken out. |
Good. I was wondering how you were doing. It's too bad you had to go through that again. |
I'm feeling your pain! Whine on, my great aunt used to say, "I'm willing to suffer in silence as long as everybody knows about it." Tooth pain is gosh awful. Hope you get some relief soon. Sorry you are hurting! |
