I don't watch sitcoms.... but just heard this morning on the news that the very very funny Bernie Mac died from Pneumonia ......He was only 50 years old. How sad is that ?

I guess there have been rumors he died - and rumors he was stable....but ABC just did a tiny announcement that he died. I would have thought he'd get a little more TIME on the news than just an announcement. Man - Paris hilton getting her nails done gets more air time than he did.

I always loved his face....everything about him was funny.

I had read an article that he was hospitalized with pneumonia, but they did downplay the seriousness of it. They said that he would be fine. Wow, he must have taken a turn for the worse. My prayers are with his family and friends. :(

It IS sad. In a world full of problems & sadness - that was one guy that could be funny without even speaking.

I normally don't 'do' the celeb thing...but that really shocked me too.

That's sad, he was so young. That's the only article I see that is reporting it. I just did a search and I couldn't find it anywhere else. There were alot of rumors that he died, but just yesterday they were saying he was responding well and would be released soon!
That's awful. :(

I didn't know, thanks for posting V. I loved his tv show and the interaction with the child was so funny sometimes my stomach would hurt from laughter. So young.:(

Wasn't he hilarious ? He was truly gifted with a face full of expression and sense of humor to match ....

I am STUNNED also!!!!!!!!:eek:! OMG:(! What a tremendous loss. OMG. I went from my mouth dropping to now shaking my head in sadness. How very sad:(.

Bernie was really funny, he had the expression and timing of a true comedian. I loved his TV show, the dynamic with the kids was spot on. He'll be missed. And I don't do celebrity worship.

couldn't have said it better ! I don't do celeb worship either...but in his case...I really felt bad hearing that this morning. We need more humor in our lives.

Some people are funny - some THINK they're funny - and some are hilarious even without trying -

he was that person.

I just told a 15 year old girl and she was stunned and saddened also. He reached so many age groups with his humor. I said to Britt "You know how a lot of funny people think they have to be vulgar....Bernie Mac was hallarious without being vulgar at all".

When someone has the gift of making our day just a little bit better by putting a smile on our face then their presence has had a moment in our lives. He will be missed.
