Well in my defense I also grew the the rosemary and basil that was in the polenta and they are perfectly lovely. I just need to learn to split my attention between my herbs and my veggies. LOL, good thing I only had one child huh?:p I'm surprised nobody has ever had mutant carrots before. I really thought it was because I didn't turn or loosen the soil before planting but now I'm wondering. If that's all it was it would seem like someday else would have had this experience. I don't have particularly hard soil. I planted from plant not seeds. Hmmmm... any gardeners out there have any theories? I still have time left in the season to plant more. I might have to experiment now. |
