Mama Mia Who's seen it? We just got back- it is AWESOME! It's just as good as it looks. I laughed, I cried, I fought the urge to cheer. It's a perfect feel good summer movie. Now I'm off to download some Abba and will be dancing my booty off!:D |

Oh uh.. That doesn't sound good. :p We were going to go see in on Saturday but because of hearing so many negative things, decided to see Wall-E instead. |
OMG did't you just love Mama Mia!! My husband and I went last Friday afternoon when it opened (we even took a 1/2 day off to see it). I love Abba and the movie was fantastic. It was such a girlie-girl, feel-good, happy, toe-tapping, fun movie. :D:D:D I just ran out at lunch today to get the cd! Oh my DH was such a good sport seeing it with me..he's really not into musicals but said it was better than Hairspray but not as good as Chicago. Hahahaha...I take him to all the musicals. We saw Wall-E too and hated it! Not at all what we expected. :( |

OMG you didn't think the previews were good? I guess you wouldn't like it then. |

Mama Mia I went with my daughter, and we had the BEST time!! She's 19 and I was surprised that she wanted to see it. But she has been expanding her horizons outside of her previously small hip-hop musical circle. Afterward, she immediately bought the soundtrack. It's funny a 19 year old walking around singing Abba songs!! She has now changed my ringtones on her phone to "Mama Mia" so when I call her, she hears that song! I'm changing mine for her to "Dancing Queen" because that's so her. I haven't enjoyed a movie so much for a long time. You're exactly right. It was just a "feel good" movie. No heavy plot or special effects - just fun. Kelly wants to go see it AGAIN this weekend. |
Saw it Friday with my sister and 22 year old dtr. We all loved it. I am a big Abba fan , have a great DVD by them and Cd. The movie was so upbeat and I will definatley by when it comes out. Saw Wall-e the week before, didn't like it at all. took my 88 year old dad to see Journey to the Center of the Earth in 3D and was surprised that I liked it. Definately see it in 3D. |
We downloaded the soundtrack and played it a million times last night. It made me want to hop in the car and go see it again.:p My daughter and I probably danced away a zillion calories and since we we dancing around the pool, I guess my neighbors are as sick of ABBA music as my poor huband now is.:D |

It definately looks like a movie where you walk out smiling ear to ear. You know sometimes it's good to take a break from those actions or drama and just go to a movie and have FUN! |

I know, I wonder why. I found it on Amazon. I had never downloaded music from Amazon but they send it right to your itunes list. I think it was only $8.99 too. |
I haven't seen it yet, but I did babysit for a couple that went to see it. They said if you like cheesy movies and Abba its great! but if you are looking for art-its not! |
Loved it so much I have already seen it twice and plan on going back again |

I did, I did........and LOVED IT!!!!! Course....I love Abba! We haven't seen Wall-E yet, but I was told it was a waste of $$.....the previews look sooo funny!!! Anyone seen the 3D "Journey to the Center of the Earth" (?) ?? I am thinking about taking my nephew to see it for his birthday. How about Space Chimps or Chimps in Space? --- My daughter said that might be a funny one for my nephew.... |
My mom and I just got back from it! I LOVED it!! I was brought up with ABBA, so I have always loved them, even though Im only 24. I can't wait to see it a second time! |

I haven't seen Mama Mia yet, but plan to. Saw Wall-E. Wasn't very impressed. It was cute, but not something I want to sit through again. My daughter saw Space Chimps with the Parks and Rec kids that she is a counselor for. She said it was very predictable. Maybe younger kids would like it. |
Loved Momma Mia. Thought Wall E was boring and Journey was ok in 3D |
DYINGGG to see Mamma Mia!! My friends and I were going to, but ended up seeing Dark Night instead (AMAZING!! - and I'm not a fan of batman-type movies!) So now my mom and I are going to be seeing it sometime probably this week (or maybe while we're on vacation next week - I'm not sure). But I'm REALLY excited to see it! I saw the show a year ago and I just loved it. I saw Wall-E --- hated it. We left an hour into it. The first little while with just Wall-E was cute, but it got so stupid. |
Is it really good? Something i can watch with my mom that can't seem to stay up thru movies? We are supposed to go tonight but i am sooo sleepy...i hope i stay up during it lol |

Me and my mom liked it a lot. It was so cute, i loved the setting!! hehe I didn't fall asleep, i drank tons of coke to stay up and ate popcorn so that did the trick lol But i really liked it, at times i felt like getting up and dancing with them when the women were singing dancing queen HAHA |

I know wasn't the setting gorgeous! It made me want to live in a dilapidated inn in Greece!:p |
Havent seen the movie... but if I hear the commercial and that song one more time ... I just may scream Glad it was so good - it looks like a fun movie |
Just saw it for the second time last night! That has to have the MOST beautiful scenery in it, more so than an other movie I have ever seen!!....was it filmed in Greece? OMG...I want to go there;):D I had not seen all the advertisement for it, but for some reason I was thinking it was actually the story of how ABBA got it's start....so I was a little confused at first, but after got that figured out, it was so fun!! Meryl Streep did an awesome job!:) |
Just got back and we loved it! we agree it was a great movie :) |
Mama Mi = :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: |
Haha, downloading Abba! That's awesome! I really want to see it, and you've just made the urge even stronger!! |
