That CANNOT be REAL!!! Seriously! It cannot!! :( That made my stomache turn! :(

While it is false, they are still advocating dog fighting which is illegal in most, if not all, areas of the US. They are telling people it is okay to commit a crime if the site is based in the US and for that the site should be shut down. The fake satisfied customer reviews are from people who live in the US, so the site would seem to be saying that dog fighting is legal in those parts of the country and it probably isn't.

Is there a way to bring this to the attention of search engines like Google, explain that the site is telling people it is okay to commit a crime and asking for the site to be pulled?

Well, glad it's not real. I kinda figured that becaue one of the "testimonials" is from a "M. Vick"... as in Michael Vick, the NFL star who's in prison for dog fighting.

There's nothing you can do about fake sites though. It's like that car website that sells blinker fluid... just supposed to be funny. :rolleyes:

I read it that is sickening and so is the dog fighting site. Even if they arent true there are enough sickos to believe its true and act on it

Wait it says it's legal.. if it was legal then why was that althete who lived in Va charged for dog fighting? It's not legal there are rules and laws to protect domestic animals. It has to be fake because of that microsoft thing... maybe they use the website for fraud or even catching dog fighters

I can't look at that website. From the sounds of it it is SICKSICKSICK. Dog fighting is against the law - there should be laws that can get it shut down because it's promoting it.

Alrighty guys, I'm reading it more, and it sounds like a sarcastic site. Like it was set up by some dog lovers to bring attention to the stupidity that goes into it.

At the bottom, right hand side, of the page on the childtrade parody (medicaladoptions.com) they have the statement "Please stop organized dog fighting"

As mentioned, this site is a HOAX...the same people run a FAKE site for child adoptions. Although I have to admit that when it first surfaced, I was fooled too...for about 2 seconds....

there are several things that perplex me about peoples reactions to the sites we create.

The first is this idea that everyone feels they have the right to tell others what they can and can't say. there was a time when the values of this country were centered around freedoms guaranteed and protected by the constitution.

ANYONE can use that same logic and reasoning to construct arguments as to why this forum shouldn't exist... why you should be able to talk about things you care about. Why do you feel you have the right to tell others what can and can't be said, what can and can't be read and decide for them what is and isn't funny? I've got news for you... you don't. Protected speech is protected speech. Period. End of story. You do live in the USA... we do have a constitution. Something that many have fought and died for and made unimaginable sacrifice to make sure you and I have these rights. Now you are playing God? Huh?

The other thing that has truly perplexed me is the absolute, complete and total stupidity of people. Really? You can't think for yourself? An obvious hoax site, making impossible claims that soooo obviously can't be real and YOU can't figure it out in a couple seconds? You really want to believe that not only is there this massive underground dog fighting league... but that some guy is actively running a website to sell it as a "get rich quick" opportunity and the FBI, state and local police don't stop it? Are you seriously that dumb? the entire site is filled with humor (whether you find it distasteful or funny is another discussion) and clearly not written to be serious.

I think you people need to get a grip... stop and take a hard look at your over the top reaction to a bad joke and start asking yourself what that says about you.

Then, maybe put a little post-it note on your computer that simply says "learn to think for myself" - just because something is online, doesn't make it real. a 10 year old could create that site that you are so worked up about. there are a lot of things that i find distasteful, disturbing and obscene... whether its someone telling me that if i don't embrace christianity, i will burn forever in hell.. to watching people pretend to care and willfully watching a genocide happen in Darfur or watching 2,000,000 people get butchered in Rwanda... or watching warlords take over Somalia and steal every bit of food, medicine and aid, while protesting the military trying to help to some peoples version of "art" or certain types of porn or whatever.

This is obviously a tongue-in-cheek site. I don't think the site is intened to advocate dog fighting but instead show the ridiculousness of the "sport" and the people involved. I think there are better ways to do this, but to each his own.

No I don't think a Mormon missionary, teacher, or anyone like that is going to find your site and decide to give dog fighting a shot. I think that people like the mother who is being suspected of killing her own child, Alejandro Avila, and any 17 year old kid looking to be a rebel and doesn't care about consequences will try it to "see what happens" or something stupid like that.

Dog fighting isn't funny. Don't you talk to me about mature when you spend your spare time making entire websites as a "joke" about dog fighting. Why don't you take some of that amazing talent you have and put it to use - try making a website or foundation or something about Darfur, about abused kids, about the hungry people in Africa and the war in the Middle East.

People train dogs to kill other dogs every day. and I don't find it funny IN THE LEAST. My dog was attacked by a pitbull whose DEMENTED teenage owner thought it would be fun to train his dog to attack. That same genius is in jail now for armed robbery. THOSE are the kind of people who will find your site and get ideas that have the potential to kill someone.

Yes, sadly for many people, this IS a reality in their world. Surely given the knowledge of global issues, you are aware of that? Your tone suggest that it is a mere fantasy to those of us who...what was the phrase, oh yeah..."who are so quick to spin out emotionally and slow to recover." If the site you created is the closest you ever come to such a serious issue, then consider yourself lucky. And that's not to say you haven't, just to state what is indicative by your tone.

Freedom of speech is something I both recognize and appreciate--that same freedom that give you the right to make jokes about any issue also allows others to express their feelings of distaste for them. But for the sake of "irony" and "humor," let me take a quick second to abuse MY freedom of speech: You've criticized members here for how people choose to 'give their life purpose,' and insulted their intelligence, yet you seem to have spent quite a considerable amount of time yourself wasting precious time composing a snazzy response and for what...? However, YOU searched out, found, and joined a site that has one thread about your website so you could post and argue with members here. Is that not also rationalizing your behavior of creating the site in the first place? If you honestly didn't care that we don't find your "joke" funny and you think we're just stupid, immature, overly-emotional dog people, you wouldn't have gone through all of that trouble in the first place.
