who is watching?? Bella and her owner come to the dog meetups i go to sometimes, she is doing really good! She got in trouble for dressing Bella tho, no fair!:(

Im watching and I'm really pissed at the comments made about Bella being dressed. I started a thead in off-topic http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/off...atest-dog.html I wish I could find someone to complain to. I think all of us who dress our dogs should boycott the show

i know i was so mad, while i was watching you should have heard me lol it was as if i were the one standing there, defending poor Bella. She did so well! And she looked pretty at that!

I know! They only put her in the bottom three because she was dressed :mad: Bella is one of my favorites and I enjoy watching her BECAUSE SHE IS DRESSED!

I just saw Michelles post and wouldn't have known what happened if she wasn't seeing red lol (I've never seen the show)

it's not just small dogs that wear clothes - lots of people do it these days even with bigger dogs...

Yea she comes to the Yorkie and toy dog group meetups, even tho Bella is Lapso aspso mixed with something else, and she has another dog Oscar. They are both well behaved and trained. She's a really nice woman. I know, lots of people dress their dogs, thats why the dog business is a billion dollar business!

I saw this episode tonight too and was really upset about the comment that "dogs are not Barbie dolls". I know Lulu loves being dressed up and it should be everyone's choice whether they want to dress their dog or not--obviously if the clothing was bothering Bella I could maybe see their criticism but she seemed comfortable.

I didn't like that they were complaining about the clothes either. The judges are pretty harsh. One judge said that dogs are not supposed to wear clothes. Well that is her oppinion. I don't think that's fair to judge like that. I think she was really cute in her dress. I though the black dog should have gone home because she couldn't control him. I think Elvis should leave next week. I didn't like it when he attacked the bulldog. I really like the bulldog and the boxer.

I'm wondering if Bella got in the bottom 3 because of her mom. I don't want to be harsh but her mom is kinda "different". I personally think Bella looked adorable in her little dress but for the grooming competition I would have thought they wanted to see the dog in their natural state, kinda like at a dog show.

When Bella's mom started arguing with the judges I thought uh-oh she's going home because she is being sassy but I'm glad Kenji (sp) went home because bless her/his heart to have a mom like that. I was screaming at the tv that if she grabbed that dog's mouth one more time I was gonna come through the tv and grab her mouth. lol

Preston was sooooooooooooooooooooo cute. Presley the boxer was really cute too. I bet Elvis is the next to go though. Elvis seems as spacy as his owner. lol

Didn't they go home, the black dog that wasnt paying attention? i dont know what breed that was but i thought they went home?

I always say I don't get out enough but I guess I don't watch TV enough. I've never heard of this show but now I want to watch it. Is it an ongoing thing?

I love Preston!! That fluff around it's neck is so cute and he is smart as a whip. I do love the Bulldog though too.

I agree that for that particular competiton, it probably would have been smarter to go w/o clothing because if they were at a dog show and were looking for grooming, wearing an outfit would hide what the judges could see, which I'm sure could be an issue.

I thought the dogs are not barbie dolls statement was out of line though and I'm 99% sure the owner of Lucky on the judges panel has dressed her dog before -- she used to have some show, I can't remember the name of it, but it was a relationship show and she'd always have Lucky with her in his bag and I think I remember him wearing tee shirts.

She took him into restaurants even I believe all zipped up in his bag, so I don't see where she had room to criticize someone else.

I understand the need to see the dog, not the outfit, but they could have used more tact in what they were saying.

But truth be told, I don't really like the show -- I feel they make dog owners out to be kind of crazy and nutty.

irked me the whole show.. i was screaming at the tv...she has no clue how

Yes it is ongoing. There are 12 owners & dogs, well were, and each week one gets knocked off. Just like in all the other reality shows. It's on CBS on Thursday nights and is called Greatest American Dog.

I understand that Bella maybe should have been nakey as they were supposedly being judged for grooming, but totally agree that the judges went WAY overboard and were critisizing about the fact that she dressed her dog more than that they couldn't judge Bella's coat. But I also think that Bella's owner should not have gone off on the judges like that....especially if she wanted to stay on the show. But then, maybe after their remarks, she didn't care anymore. But I think that I would have vented my anger AFTER the show aired and maybe to the other contestants rather than the judges themselves.
