So You Think You Can Dance Anyone watching So You Think You Can Dance this season?? My daughter has danced since she was 3 yrs old - she graduated last May so we went thru our last dance recital last year. She still takes class in college. But she and I are having a great time watching the show. DD danced 6 days a week and on competition teams and her studio always brought in top LA choreographers - including Mandy Moore who is sometimes on the show. DD has also been out to LA to take master level classes. She has been in class with some Hollywood names :cool: Who are your favorites? It is 2 weeks too late for Comfort - she should have been gone weeks ago. Too bad for Thane to have to partner with her - he is so much stronger. I really think the guys are a lot stronger than all the girls this season. But I have yet to cast a vote - I'm not as passionate about anyone yet. |

my favorite girl is chelsie. my least favorite is jessica... there's something about her that irks me. :cool: i don't have a favorite guy yet because they're all so good! i definitely agree guys are better than girls this year. i think few dancers are getting by each week thanks to their partners. :rolleyes: i can't wait to see what happens next week when they switch partners! :thumbup: oh, and don't you guys think their costumes are getting more risqué? :confused: :rolleyes: your daughter needs to try out next season! :D |
I love that show. I tape all of them... so I can watch them again. :) I am not too sure who my favorite is, yet... I like Katee and Joshua, Carrington and Twitch, Will, and Chelsea... and I agree that the boys are stronger this year than the girls. :) |

I have watched every season - but the thing I hate is the couples - like tonight, they should have sent home 2 girls and kept Thane, just like they said. They have done numbers with 2 girls or 2 guys - I think this should truly be about the best dancers - not the best couple. Or you should be able to vote for individuals rather than couples. I'll have to tell my daughter what you said :) - she is so focused now on twirling the baton in college, that dance is playing 2nd - it was the opposite for more than a decade. |

I love SYTYCD. It's one of my favorite shows and I saw the live tour last year in Atlantic City!! :) I like Katee. I think she's incredibly good. I think the remaining 10 are all very, very good. I like most of the guys and wish Thayne could have stayed. His solo was terrific and he seems like a great guy. I am so glad that Mia Michaels took an interest in him and is going to work with him. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Mia Michaels - she is a genius IMO. :) |

Aw man, I KNEW I shouldn't have opened this thread!! I Tivo'ed the elimination show and I haven't watched it yet, but now I know Thayne and Comfort are gone, lol. I actually liked Comfort and couldn't stand Thayne. He smiled waaayyy too much, lol. I thought Comfort always handled herself well when getting bad reviews. I LOVE Mia Michaels' choreography, but I hate her as a judge. She can be pretty mean. Like, mean mean....not like Simon mean, but MEAN. And of course I love Twitch and Kerrington, Chelsea and Mark and Joshua and Katie!! ;) |
My roommate and I LOVE SYTYCD! Twitch and Kerrington and Will are definitely my top 3! Our favorite choreographers are Mia Michaels and Wade Robson. |
I love this show!!! I really enjoy watching it and I also have a lot of fun when the judges give their comments. I don't like Mia judging because she's nice with her favorites and nasty with the rest, nasty nasty... :rolleyes: but her choreographies are great. This season I'm also enjoying Tabitha & Napoleon's hip hop routines, they are awesome! As far as contestans, I like Will (poor guys, her partner is not that great), Joshua, Katee, Twitch, and, Chelsea. Are they gonna change partners starting next week??? |
I'm glad to see Comfort finally went home, but I think Jessica needed to go with her. It's hard to see any of the guys go at this point, they are all good. But I am very happy to see Will still in the running. Tell me, how do the ladies' boobies stay in those skimpy low cut outfits (at least those who are more well endowed)? I thought Jessica was going to fall out of hers when she did her solo last night. Will has the most beautiful body I have ever seen. He is art in motion, star quality for sure. |

I love Will, Katee, Joshua and Twitch! I am so addicted to the show and I get so emotional when someone has to leave the show that my hubby makes fun of me. Ive just always been passionate about dancing and I think it is a beautiful artistic expression of emotions and feelings :p |
oh wow, Comfort stayed and Kerrington left!!!! well, I admit Kerrington didn't do a good job on wed, and I'm sure Comfort will end up leaving next week. I would have prefer Mark to be gone instead of Geb. And after than it's gonna be sooooo hard! Will, Joshua, and Twich are all tooooo good. |
I was SHOCKED that Kherington went over Comfort! I thought she was one of the front runners, that was disappointing. I wasn't surprised that Gev went, I thought he nailed the solos, but wasn't as good with his partners. I liked him though. It's hard when it gets down like this because I don't want anyone to go! |
i don't think this whole partner thing and different dance genre thing is fair. :( let me vent for a sec. :cool: for example: katee. i'm not saying that she's a bad dancer, BUT she always had solid partners: joshua and will. those two can make anyone look good! :rolleyes: AND it seems like she's always dancing the "good" genres, like contemporary and broadway... i mean, how can you go wrong with mia michael's contemporary routine? i think she did a ballroom type dance one time and she wasn't that great... but the judges didn't put her down like they do with other dancers. and she did a bollywood dance one time and she couldn't go wrong with that one either because it was all "new and different." other dancers seems to get "ballroom" type of genres constantly. and get stuck with worse partners. katee and chelsie will probably be the last 2 girls... but i hope chelsie is the last girl standing because she survived through a weaker partner AND she handles all type of genres so well! as far as guys go... oh man... it's gonna be a tough competition! :D |
I think Katee and Josh are beautiful dancers... the show much this so today because it seems they are always up front in all of the group dances! |
I like Katee the best of the girls, although Chelsie and Courtney are also very good. I love the show in general. :) |

I am shocked that Comfort stayed and Kherrington got the boot. Kherrington is by far the better dancer. She does most every genre well. Comfort knows only one thing. In the end, I think it will be Chelsie and Will that will take it all. |

He's the best all around - he is the most entertaining, the most incredible skills. I really hate the way this show is set up. They should send home the lost vote getters. Period - regardless of sex. They have done partner dances before with 2 guys, 2 gals - that is what can happen in real life numbers If the judges are going to make decisions they should continue to make decisions during through the whole show -- I'm not saying they would have kept Will over Twitch -- how horrid these 2 guys should not have been in the bottom 2, but I also like Joshua. The girls don't compare to the guys --- I've lost my passion for this show now :( |
I\'m so angry about it too! I don\'t think Will OR Twitch should have been in the bottom two at all. But to be honest I think Chelse should have been in the bottom two rather than Courtney. So thankfully Comfort went home to I didn\'t have to be even angrier. My roommate is convinced that they rig ALL reality talent shows so that right before the season finale there is a shocking results show where someone is wrongfully kicked off so that it\'ll boost ratings for the finale. |
