Fire near Patti and Jack's house
 

I just got a call from Patti and she was frantic. There is a raging fire that is very close to her house. I asked her how close and she said, "too close." She called to ask me to pray and it was a very short conversation...just that she's so very scared...and turned on all their sprinklers. I thought I'd post this so there will be more prayers said that they and their home stay safe! Thanks! I'll update if I hear anything!

Oh dear:( Please tell her I am Praying all is ok. I found her email and sent her one. But I am still really worried.
I have her and Jack and those sweet pups in my prayers.

Oh more prayers from us on this end. I hope everything works out fine or you hear something. Have they been told yet to leave? How many dogs would they have to move? I sure know these fires have been so bad this year. Its so sad with fires and flooding all around. I pray for them.

I hope that they are safe....... and she needs to go ahead and get ready to leave ........ those things can be so fast and furious.

Sending prayers! I hope the fire doesn't get any closer. Is it a wildfire or like someones house caught on fire?

Edit: Nevermind, I'm assuming a wildfire..I hope they get out safely!

The fires are really bad this year for sure. Lets pray they will be ok.

Prayers for Patti and Jack. They certainly don\'t need this in their lives. Pray that they will be safe with their furbabies. Love Pattie so much. She is the one I have gone to when there is someone who needs prayers from a prayer warrior. Despite all she\'s gone through she has always been there for others. Thank you for the update.

I just talked to Patti and the fire is out, though there are still firefighters all around watching for anything starting up again. Patti had been out helping the neighbors to water down their roofs. Patti and Jack have a sprinkler system that they set up just in case there was every a fire...it wets down the house and grounds, and they still have them running. The helicopters were there dropping water and she said some of them were so low, they could see their faces. Jack was watching the firefighters...all lined up, working to stop it.

They did have their pups all crated and ready to go at a moments notice. Many people evacuated, but they didn\'t. As far as Patti knows, no homes were lost. I hope the fire doesn\'t start back up...that\'s always a worry. Smoke is very thick in the area.

Patti is beat and said she was going to take Jack to get something to eat and they were told if they leave the area, that they won\'t be able to get back in.

I told Patti you were all praying for her and she was so thankful and touched! I think I\'ll send her this thread.

Thanks everyone for praying. I was so scared when she called me and heard the distress in her voice.

Praying for a hedge of protection around Patti & Jack and all of their neighbors. May all the fires be out very soon.

It breaks my heart to see how many have lost their homes this summer - fires in Calif. and floods here in Iowa and in the Midwest :( -- it is just so hard to imagine loosing everthing
