My daughter went for a tatoo today and I ended up getting one too. :rolleyes:

Those tiny paw prints are cute!! Did it hurt?

Actually not that bad. It would start to sting a bit but then he'd stop to wipe it off. Plus they are small enough that it went quick.

I LOVE your tattoos. I have been thinking about getting one.... but I am such a chicken liver :(

One of the guys my husband works with is having a tatoo party in September...they all think I am getting one..but I don't have a clue as to what I would even get..something dirty! :D That way when I'm all old and wringled and in a nursing home the young staff will get a kick out of the old hags tats! I draw the line at the tramp stamp...won't be getting one of those..no offense to all those that have one..(insert foot)

Am I the only one who has no clue what a "tramp stamp" is? Lol Could someone please enlighten me?

My son and I got our tatoos together...artist copied from a photo I had.
One is my limit!
Here's mine:

Surprisingly enough, it's very hard taking pictures of yourself. Girls, I'm hard pushing 50 yrs old. Please be smarter than I was and get them somewhere that can be covered if needed. I myself was young and bulletproof back in "the day". Actually I remember very little of "the day", was on a scooter for a while..but I digress.

I have seen some really fine artwork in my time and have no problem with it. Years later I work in and office and am a grandmother. I had to prove myself at work before I got to where I am. Yes, these people looked at me kind of odd..but who can blame them. Tatoos aren't going anywhere after their gotten, so I have made peace with mine. I have tho, taught a few people that beauty is skin deep. I was thankful to have the chance to prove myself, I have a family to provide for. A lot of employers said no thanks.

Don't do it on a whim..pick something with a meaning. Mine have brought up many a discussion through the years. Thank goodness they are not repulsive, at least to me. I tell the story of the ride, where I've been and where I'll never return. Have made a few of the young ones at work think about it.

That is all. Can't wait to see what you girls come up with. I enjoy seing fresh ink. :)

Your tatoo is really cute. I got one last year of a cross and a rose. I really like it too. Thinking about getting another one, but not were it will show! I'm 43 and my mom was still not happy about it. LOL!!:D

I had just told my hubby last week that I had decided on getting pawprints on my foot ! That is too funny!

A tramp stamp is a tattoo on your lower back..I'm not sure if it's just the one's in the center or if it counts on the sides too.:D

I have a tramp stamp too. :) It's a butterfly. I am going to expand on it though. Nothing much, just something small coming off the sides and then I'm going to incorporate something to represent my girls into it. Maybe smaller butterflys or dragonflys or something.


p.s. the hawaiian flower is my daughter, as I'm sure you guys have figured out. :)

Thanks, I've wanted it for a long time. I must have seen it somewhere or something. I originally was thinking of one or two bigger paws. But the artist and I went on line and found these. I love them.

It wasn't that bad. It was more tender the lower he went but it's only momentary. They stop every so often to wipe so....... My daughters had more design and color and she said it hurt but she didn't cry or anything like that. Just a couple quick gasps. But again about the time it would really start to hurt he'd stop to wipe. I think a lot of it will depend on what you get and what your pain tolerance is. :)

I want to draw something similar to a sticker I saw on a car one time! haha I know how cheesy that sounds, but Im a huge shoe person... I LOVE shoes... I have over 70 pairs and climbing and I LOVE orchids (the flower on your daughters foot actually) and I saw a sticker once that had a pair of flipflops and then an orchid on each side. I cannot find this picture anywhere online or anything no matter how much I search so Im going to have to draw something similar! At least it would have meaning to me! I have one tat... and its in a place that is not shown off. Its on my top upper outer thigh up high ... you can see it when I wear a bathing suit. Yesterday we had a pool party and my BFs whole family was there... no biggie but none knew I had a tat so when they saw it they were all a bit surprised! Not to mention its a scorpion! (which everyone thinks its a lobster at first LOL)

I love the paw prints!! I got my first and only tattoo last summer. I have been trying to find the right one since 2003 since my Grandpa passed away. We both love birds. I really love hummingbirds and so did he (he loved building bird houses, the really detailed ones) but I didnt like the way a realistic hummingbird looked as a tattoo so I finally found this one that I have. It is on my lower back (not a tramp stamp) it is off to my right side and it is on my pants line so nobody can see it, if my shirt comes up a little all you see is the top of the heart. and let me tell you....this was hard to take a picture of by myself lol. I'd like to add to it....my Grandma passed away last November and I want something for her too....so I was thinking about putting a quote around it "If you never jump, you'll never know if you can fly" my Grandparents have always believed in me, telling me I could do whatever I wanted in life and they meant the world to me but I've always had trouble beliveing I could do something but my Grandparents always told me I could and if I never tried i'd never know, so I thought this was perfect....its a quote from a song by Miranda Lambert. Anyways here it is!!

The paws are very cute... :D I have many tats. AND I like to have them where they can be seen! The tats I have Are small, and then I have flames all around them, going up my right arm... Because I have severe burns on my hand, and forearm . I got tired of people staring at the burns, so I wanted something nice to be looked at . there is tats of tragedy, comedy, dagger, tribal star, tribal sun, happy devil, and rose, + the flames. AND on my left forearm I have a large eagle, and skull with wings. Then on my left leg I have anther med. sized rose.. LOL the tattoo lady:D
I would not mind have the paws on my fingers. YEah, I am nutty:D
