BEEP BEEP! My backyard visitor! 4 Attachment(s) Look who visited our back yard yesterday. I live in the desert, so there are usually roadrunners around.. IN THE DESERT! But even in the desert they are not seen as often as you would think. I have never seen one in my subdivision so this was a treat to see this one hop down from a 6 foot block wall fence into my yard for a little R&R. |
4 Attachment(s) a few more pics as he climbs into the hammock then jumps down to go see big brother! lol |
Maybe he's considering moving to the 'burbs. My dogs would go insane if that was in our back yard. |
Awesome! Roadrunners are totally cool. I hope you were as excited to see him as we were when we used to see them when we lived in Albuquerque. there was an arroyo in back of our house that led to a open space of public land. The Roadrunner used to run down the walls in the back of the yards in the neighborhood. :D Our fences were 5' stucco walls. It was always a treat to see the Roadrunner, but NOT a treat to see the skunk :( ppppuuuuu |
OMG Sonya that is so cool to see one. Funny....you always invision the "Roadrunner" to look like that cartoon..lol. The real thing looks NOTHING like the cartoon image...silly me!!! Did your crew see them and want to chase it off?..lol |
Amazing. I've never seen a real roadrunner before, just the version in the cartoon. I wonder if he was looking for the coyote?? |
I've never seen one either!!! They are pretty! I was looking around for the box of explosives with ACME written on it! |

LOL..how cute!! :) We get lots of road runners here in Eastvale. There was one little baby one that used to pop out of a burrow in the perimeter landscaping for one of the tracts out here. Whenever we'd walk past it, it would scurry out into the road. |

What great pics.....the roadrunner is my school's mascot....they are beautiful birds... |
WOW! that is some visitor. I have never seen one in person. He seems smaller than I would have imagined - course that's probably from years of watching the cartoon  Sunnie must be such a good boy to come right back! Mine would have wanted to give him a race for his money :p |
I have never seen one either. I wouldn't have known what kind of bird it was. |
