| Need Your Help okay...so I besides my thyroid and every other damn thing falling apart on me I am looking at surgery on my elbow (tennis elbow...no I don't play). Just had a cortisone shot about a week and a half ago, hurt like hell and hasn't worked at all, in fact, it now hurts/burns/stabbing pain to the touch. Where I need the help is...this is my dominant hand/arm...I work a couple days a week at a very high volumed restaurant as a server...obviously it is getting harder and harder to do. I have been trying to do hostessing for a couple days. Problem is...they are too cheap to pay me what I need and what I am worth (sorry, we don't have a picture of a donkey) so in short of becoming a prostitute or an exotic dancer, which I still would need my arm for the pole....what are some of your ideas of ways I can supplement my income...I would love to find a job I can do from home..but do they still exist? Any ideas...I thought about babysitting (j/k) I have done the in home daycare and thought the drawback is the freedom to leave the house whenever I needed to...I thought about maybe putting an ad in to do errands or shopping...but what do you charge and is it going to even cover gas? I am doubting it...any ideas?

| I guess I could try that..the walking is probably out..I live in a rural area..I don't even walk my own dogs.lol...we are on a bit of land so we usually just run around until they tire. lol...I wonder what the going rate is for that? hmmmmm...hubby would love that one almost as much as he loved the whole in home daycare Thanks for the suggestion!

| To start with, I am so very sorry that you are having chronic pain. Unless you suffer from that type of pain, it is hard to understand how debilitating it can be. Try doing a "skills survey" and write down all of the special talents you have. Are you artistic, can you sew, cook, do you enjoy working with children, are you a good typist, a good organizer??? Once you have done a thorough skills self-assessment, then start looking at ways you can utilize those skills. I wish you good luck |

Your suggestion is a great idea...I taught myself how to sew a few years back and love to do it...I didn't even think about doing something related to sewing. Because of all the meds I take I don't think working with children would be too ideal...anxiety and such...I am great at typing and thought if I could find something like that that I could do at home...but don't really know which businesses are legit....I will have to sit down and really think about my skills...Thanks!
