asking for prayers for me and baby-to-be You might notice I have not been around much...and a lot of you that I usually talk to on the phone have not been hearing from me much.... well, I have been having a lot of contractions. I am only 32 weeks right now but I have contractions all through the day and into the night. Once I fall asleep, they usually stop but my days are just full of pain. I went to my dr. a few days ago because they had stopped and he granted me permission to resume "limited but normal activities". Basically..I can get off my tush and do some things, but nothing strenuous. well, They started up again, so I have a feeling he is going to keep me down for a while :( anyway, I would really appreciate any prayers you could spare. It is so hard for me to be limited...I am a very active, outgoing person so this is killing me!!!!!! But we have to do what is best for baby Olivia. I will keep you all posted. I will try to get on here a little more often but I cant' promise anything :) hugs...I love you guys! |

Sending prayers and Good thoughts your way I understand , my sister was taken off her feet at 30 weeks . After a week or more the pain stopped. The Little girl was three days late:D |

Mandee, I will keep you and baby Olivia in my heart and prayers. Just a little bit of encouragement (I think :rolleyes: ). My oldest son, RG was born at 32 1/2 weeks. He was perfectly healthy just small. Now, 27 years later he has grown in to a fine young man who is presently in Nursing School and will graduate with a Bachelor's in Nursing within the next two years. SO Please follow your doctor's instrudctions AND know that even if she comes a bit early doctors and nurses can work miracles with the wee little ones. Sorry about the bed rest thing. I know all about that. Can you say BORING!! My daughter ended up being born at 35 weeks, but was perfectly healthy and weighed almost 7 1/2 pounds! Can you imagine if she had gone full term?? Are they giving you Breathine or any medications to develop their lungs? That's what I had to take just in case she came early. |

Sending our thoughts and prayers for you and baby Olivia. My girlfriend delivered her twins at 27 weeks and they are in nicu and are doing well. It is so amazing what how much medicine and technology has progressed. They will be there for a couple of more months and they are progressing very well. A woman in her twins group had hers at 32 weeks and was able to go home with the babies after a week! Now you can stay in airconditioning for this awful heat!:) |

Maybe this is God's way to tell you to slow down! :) You will need all the rest you can get cuz once Olivia is here, you will wish you had some of that rest!! Take it easy and relax sweetie!! Your precious little girl will be here when she is ready. |

Mandee, you and baby Olivia are in my thought and prayers. I know it is hard to let others do every thing for you while on bed rest. I went through it twice and it's hard letting others do stuff their way and not yours! I truly hope that you can go to term or at lest a few more weeks to were she will not need to stay long in NICU. I had two of my four boy's born very early. Lincoln was born at 26 weeks and Garrett was born at 28 weeks. You could tell a difference with the 2 weeks. Link had to be on a ventilator and Garrett just had C PAP. Link was in NICU for 2 months and 2 weeks while Garrett was in for 2 months. Lincoln also had a few more complications than Garrett. It is so amazing what they are able to do for these tiny babies that would of had no chance 15 years before! Again, best wishes and prayers are going out to you and your baby Olivia |
