Why do I have so many --- ? Ever look around your house and relize you have way too many something and you have no idea why?:confuse2: Last night I was brushing my teeth in my daughter's bathroom and noticed that there were 5 toothbrushes in there :eyebrow2:...then I looked and there were 4 in our bathroom, making a total of 9 toothbrushes:shocked7q--and there are only 3 of us! So I asked myself, "Why on Earth do we have so many toothbrushes?" :questione Then later I was digging through the junk drawer (don't laugh, everyone has one) and kept finding lighters. :scratchhe Now, neither hubby or myself smoke, but I do try to keep a lighter around the house to light candles with. A quick search and I'd found 11 lighters! :idontknow Shoes aside--because you can NEVER have too many shoes :biggrin:--do you ever find yourself asking "Why do I even have this?" about anything... |
Yes, omg all the time! It has been happening a lot lately since we've been packing to move. I keep pulling stuff out and going "What do we even have this for??" or "Omg, I just saw this in another box." It's crazy, I threw a LOT out though. |

We moved 3 years ago and I still have boxes packed in the garage! We've lived in 3 places at once (due to work) and I didn't want to have to keep packing things and carting them to each place when we were whereever so I furnished all 3 places. The good new is that there is a consignment store near where I live. The only bad thing is, is that I have to go through the boxes and get the stuff over there! |

Pens and Pencils! I bet we have at least a garbage bag full. Also books, mom and I both love to read and she will NOT get rid of her books. Blankets too... we live in the south so its not as if we ever use any of them, but they are ALL over the house and our linen closet is overflowing with them. |
I have tons of cookbooks I never use and I just bought another one. We are overun with toys. My daughter has two rooms with toys. I have alot of blankets, alot of which were gifts, that I never get rid of. I think we have about 7 toothbrushes and theres three of us. I will have to think about it and I am sure Ill find more |
I am packing in the process of moving cross-country (sorta...ok, maybe 1/2 cross-country?... or more like 3/4 cross country)...anyhow, I am finding Pens!! Lots of PENS! Maybe cuz I worked for a Doctor here and we got tons of free drug rep pens. What else?? Knee Highs!!! Today I was packing in the closet and I think I found Knee High Stockings from the 1980's.. LOL!!!!!!!!!! OH LORDY!!! It threw them out, just thinking to myself "look at all that man-made polyester material... thank goodness I"m a natural stocking-free birkenstock wearing lady now"... :eek::yay_jump::Puppy2: |

LOL! We just moved and we have a ridiculous number of candles/candleholders. I guess we need to have a garage sale. We also had a ton of dead batteries. My roommate is notorious for dumping the dead batteries in the junk drawer and putting new batteries in whatever device (usually the camera) she's using. But then you can't tell which batteries are good and which are bad. So I had to break out the battery tester and test each one. After we got moved I went out and bought her 4 rechargable batteries and a battery charger just so we would never have 40 dead batteries again. |

Clothes that I haven't worn since high school.....now I won't say how old I am but these clothes were outdated long ago. Of course they came back in style and are outdated again. I must get rid of them. This morning I moved all the furniture in my bedroom around to get more space and since I'm in a space saving mode I am going to trash it all:D What am I waiting for:confused: Good Will wouldn't want it. lol |
DENTAL FLOSS! Omg I know I have at least 3 rolls in my purse, at least 5 or 6 in each bathroom, I know there is at least 1 in each car (probably more in mine lol). There is one on my bedside table. No telling where else lol. My dentist would be very proud. :D |
Purses!!!! I was cleaning the living room today and was putting away some of my shopping purchases from the past week, and I had bought 6 purses!! Hey, remember I do a lot of garage saling and can't pass up a good deal, lol! Also shoes, but you said they didn't count, lol! And coats????? I bet myself I have at least 25 coats from the past 2 years! Oh yes, and blankets. Our family is definately blanket people ;) We all have our faves and thats about 6-7 a piece and there are 5 of us ;) Now I'm including this hoarding w/ my poor furbutts, lol! Just ask 2Parises about me and my blankies ;) lol! |

Purses!!! I only carry ONE purse EVER and yet I have ENDLESS amounts. I will find a purse and say "I don't even remember GETTING this one!" Scarves lol. I have a crap load of scarves. Every time I turn around, there's a scarf staring at me. Yet, when it gets chilly, there is never a scarf around when I need it! Movies. I have movies from...a very long time ago. it's insane. And BOOKS!! My Mom just recently found The Outsider's book she got when she was in Jr. High. Neither of us throws away books. Sharpies. But that's not a hoard, that's a collection lol. I love Sharpies (Yes, I am well aware that I am bizzare). Playbills. It started out as a collection, but it's slightly...crazy. I have playbills from shows I've never SEEN - MULTIPLE ones from shows I've never seen. I'm always telling myself that I have the ones I need hanging up and I can just get rid of the other ones, but I just don't have the heart to do it. :p |

Playbill= program for a Broadway show. :D (This from a Texas gal ) LOL on the too many junk drawers! Sounds too familiar My list? --hair bands --nail clippers...uh, why?? --plates (mosaic person here) --cards! I think I have every card or letter anyone has ever given me! lol I just can't seem to throw them away. Oh, and don't even start on the ones with photos. I still have the Christmas card exchange ones! |

Playbills are little book type things that you get when you go to see a show. They have the information about the cast, crew, creatives, and most have a bit of info about the show itself. They also usually have interviews with actors from other shows, or stories about another professional in the business as well as any sponsors. I attached a picture of a few of mine so you can see what they look like. :) |
Megan, I know a young lady who decorated one wall in her room with those...sort of a combo of decoupage and wallpaper. It looks cool! But it's just one accent wall, not the whole room. |

I threw out enough stuff to fill 2 dumpsters when we moved. Megan is the family pack rat and it caused her physical pain to see me throw out broken, ripped up back packs from 1st or 2nd grade! Even after all of that we had a garage full of stuff after we moved. So, we had a garage sale a couple of weeks ago. (I had it when Megan was away so she couldn't see what we sold!) I have too many pictures. I mean, do I really need 8 or 9 copies of the same shot? Remember when you'd take the kids to Sears for portraits and they'd give you 40 different copies of the same pose? I'm slowly going through all of those and tossing them. I literally have boxes and boxes of pictures, some of them are of people I don't even know who they are! |
There's more! :eek: I also discovered this weekend about 50 packets of Taco Bell sauce stuck in one of the drawers. That's alot of Tacos! |

---dog toys (I just can't pass up cute, little dog toys) ---magazines (I keep them thinking I will take out the recipes, tips, etc) ---emails (I keep them..I need to delete them all) ---STUFF (I seriously need to downsize and get rid of a lot of STUFF) ---scrapbook and card making stuff (that I rarely, if ever, use) |
