Have you noticed the stores are already clearancing out summer items? I was able to buy my Daughter 2 swimsuits today for $7. Also a snow cone maker and cups on sale and I got some flip flops on sale. This economy must be affecting the stores also for them to be clearancing items this early

Maybe... but I've noticed that before too. My husband always decides he needs shorts about NOW when it's getting hot and there are none to be found. This year I ordered him shorts in April. It's frustrating because who wants to buy sweaters in August? But then when I am ready for sweaters the spring clothes are coming out!

Yeah....already found patio stuff 50% or more off...and this was before yesterday...the real first day of summer.

I think the economy and lackluster sales plays an influence...and I also think...stores rushing the seasons falls into play too. Our stores have had bathing suits in them...since JANUARY. Hubby once said...I wanted to get you some sweaters for your b-day (february)....but they don't have any sweaters left in the store now.

I have seen that too... but on the flip side I am already seeing some Halloween things being delivered to stores. And of course Christmas is being delivered to the Craft & Fabric Stores!!

Maybe everyone is antsy to get through this rough patch and fast forward a few months.

I picked up some nice bargains too on summer supplies

I've noticed that too. I took advantage of a huge sale at my local outlet mall. I bought a Coach bag for 50% off the marked down price, a ton of tops and capris from White House Black Market all $19.99. They had marked all dresses down to $39.99. I usually go to the stores around the Fourth to catch sales but never remember seeing sales this early.

They've got to make room for Halloween items. Christmas is just around the corner.

It's that time of year when they have to start making room for fall and Christmas. Yikes! Only 185 days until Christmas! Where does the time go?
