Xrays of my leg, Bionic Chattiesmom 4 Attachment(s) I was finally able to sneak some pics of the xrays of my leg. The first three were taken in the emergency room last November. The last picture, taken in May, shows the rods and screws that are holding this bionic woman together :D . I suppose experienced xray readers can see that the bone is nearly healed, but all I see is a steel plate and 10 screws. Next time I tell you I'm all screwed up, you'll know I'm telling the truth. :lol tears |

Wow you really did a number on it didn't you. I hope it's feeling alot better now and is all healed up. Are you still having any issues with it or is it 100% better? |

I am still having issues :( - went to the neurologist last week and am scheduled for a Nerve Study (doesn't sound like much fun) in July. |

Hope you starting to feel better. I remember you being in lot's of pain. I hope it's healing nicely. I guess your still experiencing pain if your going to the nerve doc in July. Yikes! OUCH!!!! The first thing I thought of was the airport security guards going nuts trying to find out what was making the buzzers go off:D. I hope they can stop the pain without any more surgery. |

I agree with v. That IS a bad break and I, too, will never complain about my broken toe either! The nerve tests are not fun but they are not as bad as you probably fear! Just keep your sense of humor while it is going on. I had one about a month ago. (diabetic neuropathy) |

OUCHA MCGOUCHA! I agree with the others, your scar has healed very nicely. I've never heard of Emu oil, but apparently it's good stuff! Sure hope the docs get a handle on this nerve pain you've been having! Kiss the puppies! |

oh boy did that bring back memories for me! :eek: I had a similar break on my right ankle/leg. Only difference is I broke both sides and my other side is pinned. I am so sorry you're still having pain. I broke mine October 14 and didn't start physical therapy until February. I finally walked with a cane by April. It's been 6 years now and the only problem I have is if I'm on my feet for a very long time I swell and have some pain. I hope you're feeling well soon. |
Move over:p....you are not the only bionic on this list;). I have the same thing in my arm which I broke 2x's. Once in 2007 and one in 2008....yes...the same arm. The second time I broke it right above the plate. So you know what that means...yes, they take out the old plate and put in a bigger one....oooohhhh:eek::(...no fun at all. But from what I hear a broken leg is much much worse....not that mine was any fun. If I get real motivated I will scan copies of my xrays...I have them at home to bring to my surgeon on Thursday. My visit with the neurologist was last Thursday (must be doctor day) and they mentioned pinched nerve and surgery, but who knows..... |
Oh I hope you don't have a pinched nerve...I had one in my foot but it was cured with orthotics...much different from what you are going thru but I know the pain. I had also gone to a neurologist to consult regarding why I am falling so much (tripped but...too often). She she checked me out and wanted me to go back for another test where they check you out with electrodes and pins...it is not a very long test. As it stands right now I am passing on it...only because I think I feel my feet fine:cool: even when I am walking. But I am going to another doctor on Friday to get my results of a series of tests....had an MRI of the brain, had a cat scan of the brain, tested the vestibular system (inner ear) and ultra sound of corraded arteries and of course blood work. If all that is ok I think I'll wait a while before I go for any more, lol. Tina |
ooouuuu...maybe I will see if I can post pics of my brain...they gave me a disc. You have no idea how much of a BIG baby I was. One of the doctors had to sit and hold my hand thru the MRI and it was an open MRI too....I was just freaking out:eek:. Couldn't take it. Tina |
That is one nasty fracture. Glad to see it healing so well. Those x-rays of hardware are totally amazing! |
Those are awesome! Thanks!!! I was an XRay Tech up until just recently and I love looking at those pics. What happened? Wreck? Fall from a horse? (sorry I don't keep up with YT too much, so if you told everyone already.... ..:rolleyes:) Great job on the scar healing, by the way. :-) |
