GOOD LUCK on your cruise!!! Ive never been on a Disney one but my hubby's cousin did and she LOVES them! but shes also a HUGE disney FREAK!!! ;) hope you have fun! :) bon voyage:mickey: |
I haven't done a Disney Cruise, but I'm DYING to! My Aunt and Uncle are big Disney freaks, too (freaks in the best way possible lol), as well as my little cousin, and they are going on a Disney Cruise later this year. |
Disney cruise is awesome!! We took my 13 year old son on the Disney Cruise! I was a little concerned that he wouldn't like it at that age but he had the best time and still talks about going again and he is a Marine and married!! Guess he is still a kid at heart! ;) Don't miss the dining room experience.(i would personally select the late seating since the families tend to eat earlier)..it is worth it just to watch what goes on in there!! the food is fabulous and surprisingly enough the little kids didn't bother us that much since they were all so busy. The parents drop them off early in the morning at the kid camps and pick them up at midnight. The little ones have a blast and watching them go through the ship like little ducks following the camp counselor is a hoot! The movie theater on board shows great family Disney movies and there are tons of things going on all day long. The excursions are wonderful too. They have separate activities for the teenagers so my son had a blast. They have a little coca cola bar with video games and places to just sit and talk. There are many, many couples there without children...lots of honeymooners too! The ship is beautiful and the little Disney characters run around through the ship all the time. We did the 7 day package (3 days at the theme parks and 4 days cruise). That was a perfect vacation!! Highly recommend!!!:thumbup: |
I have never been on a disney cruise but in my opinion any cruise has to be great! As far as dining with strangers-it actually adds to the adventure. The one I went on that we did sit with people we didn't know was kinda nice we made new friends and lasting memories. Hoping to plan cruise #5 soon! |
we have we have we have!!! I loved loved loved it!! We went to the Bahamas, and it was great!! We bought the drink cups as soon as boarded but you bring them with you everywhere you go and get "free" drinks since that was the only thing you had to pay for. It was well worth the $$ I took my boys who were 2 and 8 at the time. They had their own exploring area's and you could leave them and had a pager and when they were tired or ready to go you were beeped to come back. I loved the themed restaunts and I loved how our servers knew us by name and actually knew what my kids were drinking without asking. I loved you didn't have to "dress" up each night and I loved that our dinner changed from place to place. I felt really "special" and my kids loved the towel animals each night as we came back to our room. Oh and how could I forget the shows!!! Awesome, and I also liked that we were the first to see "spykids 3d" and freaky friday before they were released to the US!!! I plan on doing it again |

I went on a Disney cruise and loved it. I went with a friend who went with her tennis team and their families. Although there were mostly families, we had a great time. I think everyone should go Disney once! I agree, their private island...ooo I could spend the whole time there!! You can pick Palo's any night you wish, and also there is a seperate pool for adults. They do try to cater to everybody it seems. The massage/spa is wonderful too!! You can make it more grown up if you want, or fun with the kids. I think a family reunion would be awesome on a disney cruise. Everyone could do want they want in the day etc. and then join up for meals etc. Do try to go!! |
disney has adult only decks and restaurants. they food is excellent , but they are pricey. as far as kids...i see them on many cruises..if you want to avoid kids go when they are in school. (i don't have kids and prefer to relax on a cruise without them around..it's a shame i always run into kids that have irresponsible parents that let them run the ship) |
