why did the okra thread get closed? not that I ever really posted on it much...but just curious as to what happened :rolleyes::p

It was kinda funny acutally......is there some kind of "policing" in the threads where someone closes a thread that is not "interesting" to them? Kinda like Craig's List?????

I noticed it closed last night and couldn't see any reason why...:confused:

I didn't post on it but it was a fun read. I only eat fried Okra. :D That boiled stuff slimes me out.:p

I for one love ALL forms of Okra! And I loved that thread, didnt poast on it much, but when I saw it pop up I always had a little laugh:p

I have never eaten okra, nor have I ever wanted to eat okra, nor have I ever thought I would like okra, nor have I ever posted on the Okra Thread.

However, now that it's "gone", I'm suddenly having okra cravings!! :D

Well I never really posted on the okra thread much either but did enjoy reading it :rolleyes:..........and if someone other than the OP requested it be closed........That is just plain WRONG!!!!:thumbdown

and BTW - I don't like Okra....my dad used to make us eat it as a child so I have reason to not like it..phewy:p

Well, I don't really care for Okra either, in any of it's many forms or varieties....BUT... I think you should be able to Say that YOU enjoy Okra without fear of being harassed or prejudice!! I think all of us here at YT should stand by our friends who do enjoy Okra and give them a forum to be able to admit and be PROUD of it!
Okra loving or even liking should NOT be Censored, I say...the conspiracy has gone on LONG ENOUGH!!:D

OKay.... me and Lynda (Myboy) started the Okra joke and she made the thread based on our joke... we thought it would be funny to have the last word and repeat the joke and then close it on the 499th post...

I guess you guys don't see the funny side to it... but the thread made us laugh at the begining and then again at the end of the thread...

Sorry... :( it wasn't done maliciously and we really didn't think you would all be that mad about it and start a riot :(

I was really curious to know why it was closed...just didn't see anything said in it that was out of line so was wondering what happened :rolleyes:

so now I'm confused :confused::confused: I thought this 2nd thread was a joke too, making fun of the okra thread, somebody is really mad about it and riots are going to break out:confused::confused:
This whole thing is hysterical...will we ever think of okra again in the same light??? (I think not) :D

Oh, so NOW I get it....lol. Sorry, I'm slow. I figured it was something behind it...of course not malicious ;) We just wanted to be in on it too..:(:D

It was fun(funny) while it lasted! I mean there's always some other debatable food to be discussed...sushi, asparagus, eggplant, raw oysters, etc. etc. :p

Just so you guys know, I've never eaten Okra, but I was in my history class learning about Africa and the teacher said something about Okra and I started cracking up - thanks to the lot of you. :p
