I bought a new car!!!!!
 
Yup I did! Last night I went to test drive Honda Civics and fell in love... so I traded in my 2001 Cavalier and bought a 2008 Honda Civic EX. Im pretty darn excited and nervous! I haven't had a car payment in YEARS! But the Cavalier was starting to give me some problems and I didnt want to dump any money into a cheap car that was GREAT for over 7 years and had 115,000 miles on it! I knew I had to do it now!

I never thought id be buying a new car though, especially not this fast! And the great thing is, I pick it up tonight between getting out of work and picking my mom up at the airport! So I get to pick her up in style!

I feel soo spoiled, this car has EVERYTHING! :) I never had a car with power windows & locks and all that jazz! I even got a key with buttons!!! haha And the radio controls on the steering wheel! Better gas mileage! Im just sooo excited! This is going to be a LONG day! :)

awww...I can feel your excitement :) it is SOOOO nice to drive a new car that has all the "perks" :D you will have to post some pics!!! hondas are GREAT cars...you will totally love it. they last FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!

How exciting!!!! My first car was a 1996 honda civic. I traded it in with 160,000 miles on it and got a 2005 civic ex special edition. I figured since I was going to have a car payment why not go all out...hehe. I drive A LOT for work and it is still driving so good. I have 104,000 miles on it now and you can not tell at all. They are great cars. Now I am thinking about getting the cr-v. Have fun with it and take some pictures so we can see!!!

congratulations girl!!! that is exciting and Hondas are nice cars I used to have a Honda Prelude ;) I love that feeling of having a new car and driving it around those first few days, enjoy

Congratulations..........we have always had Honda's. They run great and last until you can't stand looking at in anymore.
I still have a Honda and Hubby just recently decided he needed to branch out and go w/a different car company but we will be trading my honda in for the new 09 Pilot soon!
Enjoy your new car, Im sure you will be very happy!!!:thumbup:

Congratulations! It's so exciting to have a brand new car!!!! I love my car, but it sure would be nice to have something with EVERYTHING on it (we get spoiled so fast nowadays, don't we???). I want the built-in iPod connection and XM radio and the screen that you can see all around you, hehe....What color did you get? There's just nothing like that "new car smell":). Post pics if you can!!!

Oh, I am oh-so-jealous!!! I'm just dying to trade in my Volkswagen Beetle ... it's seriously a pos & I hate it so much, lol. I really really want a Saturn Vue Hybrid in white :) But I agree with everyone else, you must post pictures!

Congratulations. Honda's are great cars and the value stays up better than others. I traded mine for an SUV before gas prices went up. Now I wish I had it back. :(

Nothing like the smell of a new car. Congratulations and good luck with
it. I bought a new one last year and still love it.:p 2008 Toyota Carolla.

You made a great choice!!! I bought a new honda civic EX in 2003. I'm still driving it and its about to be paid off at the end of this year. This car has been so good to me. The ONLY money I've had to put into it (besides regular oil changes and tires) was money to replace the brakes!!!

Thanks everyone! Im sooo glad to hear you all say Hondas are great! I have to agree, they really are! This is my first, but I have friends who SWEAR by them! I wish I could get out of here and go get it NOOOWWW but work is work and Im stuck until 5, then its about an hours ride (cuz of traffic) to go get it! buuummmeeerrr!!!! Im sooo excited! I was soooo nervous signing those papers last night... my hands were shaking! My financial situation is sooo tight now between the house and now a car payment... but I know I'll feel better paying for a new car than I will repairing an old unreliable car! I feel much better about it today though and am finally excited! Last night I was just in shock signing all the papers! I got home and looked at my financial spreadsheet and felt a little rush of excitement (not as dire as I had imagined) and now Im just flat out excited and happy! I remember buying my Cavalier new when I was 24, and the excitement of driving it off the lot! ooohhhh!!! :) :)

My first was a 95 civic that my boyfriend's younger brother is now driving..
Bf went from a 97 Accord to an 06.. they're so great!!

Did you get a coupe or 4 door?? what color?? Oh we need to see pictures!!!

Well I wish I drove that kind of Honda too!! I got my bike license last year, but i knew a new car would end up coming before a bike... may take a few years, but I plan on having my bike also someday! :) LOVE IT!!!

Its a 4 door sedan. It looks soo sporty though for a 4 door! I am trading in a 2 door coupe and Im glad to see it go. I hate having 2 doors! I wanted 4 doors, I have no kids, but it will be easier for the dogs, and for friends and family to get in and out of. Its a nice deep blue color! Same color as the car Im trading in.... guess I like that dark blue! :)

All the perks! I never thought Id be able to walk onto a lot and buy a top model of ANY car brand new! This is just amazing to me! :) :) Power windows and door locks! aaaahhhhhh Never had those! Im going to be sooo spoiled now!

Congrat's on your new car!!! Honda is a great car!!!

I JUST trade in my 2005 Mini Cooper for a 2008 Mini Cooper S couple weeks ago!!! And the S is sooo "pimped up" too!! I got all the packages...too many that I don't even know what some of them do! When I got my first car back in 2005, I didn't get a lot of features, just a few. So, I told myself my next car is going to be all pimp up! hehe....

I got my new car last August (scion TC) and I was just as amazed by it as you are by your civic! Like you..all my previous cars had never had power locks or windows..much less the buttons I have on my key now! I even have a sun roof! I love it so much! Enjoy it girl! I cant wait to see those pictures!

Oh, honey, I know how you feel!!!!!!!! One year ago this month, I traded in my '95 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme :eek: for an '07 Honda Accord EX, and I have not regretted it for ONE second!!!!!! Even when I have to pay that car payment every month, it's OKAY because I know how awesome my car is! I love my Honda, and you'll love yours! I remember being so scared to "hurt" it the first few days, but I got over that quickly :p

Anyway, great choice with Honda---you will not regret it :thumbup:

Congratu-lations! There nothing like the smell of a new car. My son just got a 08 Honda Civic and loves it. He loves it so much my husband went out a got a CRV. My brother would not own any other car.

Congratulations! Nothing beats a Honda!!!!!! You must post pictures! I want a newer Civic so badly, but my CRV is more practical for our lifestyle currently. My first car was an Accord, which is still running strong with over 200,000 miles on it! (my dad now drives it as a commuter) My husband just bought an old Civic CRX for a commuter and has no complaints. I'm sure you're having a blast driving around in your AWESOME new car girl!

Congratulations! I am so jealous. I have been bugging hubby for a new car...mine is a 2001 and is starting to need work here and there and it keeps adding up. Enjoy, I love Hondas, have had 5 of them over the years.:)

Congrats on the new car! You're going to love it! My first car was a honda civic and it was very reliable and overall a real good car to have.

I got a new car last year, so I know how much fun that is! You'll get great gas mileage in the Honda. I bought a Nissan 350z! I wish I would have bought something that the payment wasn't close to my house payment amount lol! But I've always wanted a pimped out car too and a convertible at that. I figured I'm young better do it now that later! Here's my car since everyone is sharing there's.......
