I bought a new car!!!!!
 
Yup I did! Last night I went to test drive Honda Civics and fell in love... so I traded in my 2001 Cavalier and bought a 2008 Honda Civic EX. Im pretty darn excited and nervous! I haven't had a car payment in YEARS! But the Cavalier was starting to give me some problems and I didnt want to dump any money into a cheap car that was GREAT for over 7 years and had 115,000 miles on it! I knew I had to do it now!

I never thought id be buying a new car though, especially not this fast! And the great thing is, I pick it up tonight between getting out of work and picking my mom up at the airport! So I get to pick her up in style!

I feel soo spoiled, this car has EVERYTHING! :) I never had a car with power windows & locks and all that jazz! I even got a key with buttons!!! haha And the radio controls on the steering wheel! Better gas mileage! Im just sooo excited! This is going to be a LONG day! :)

awww...I can feel your excitement :) it is SOOOO nice to drive a new car that has all the "perks" :D you will have to post some pics!!! hondas are GREAT cars...you will totally love it. they last FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!

How exciting!!!! My first car was a 1996 honda civic. I traded it in with 160,000 miles on it and got a 2005 civic ex special edition. I figured since I was going to have a car payment why not go all out...hehe. I drive A LOT for work and it is still driving so good. I have 104,000 miles on it now and you can not tell at all. They are great cars. Now I am thinking about getting the cr-v. Have fun with it and take some pictures so we can see!!!

congratulations girl!!! that is exciting and Hondas are nice cars I used to have a Honda Prelude ;) I love that feeling of having a new car and driving it around those first few days, enjoy

Congratulations..........we have always had Honda's. They run great and last until you can't stand looking at in anymore.
I still have a Honda and Hubby just recently decided he needed to branch out and go w/a different car company but we will be trading my honda in for the new 09 Pilot soon!
Enjoy your new car, Im sure you will be very happy!!!:thumbup:

Congratulations! It's so exciting to have a brand new car!!!! I love my car, but it sure would be nice to have something with EVERYTHING on it (we get spoiled so fast nowadays, don't we???). I want the built-in iPod connection and XM radio and the screen that you can see all around you, hehe....What color did you get? There's just nothing like that "new car smell":). Post pics if you can!!!

Oh, I am oh-so-jealous!!! I'm just dying to trade in my Volkswagen Beetle ... it's seriously a pos & I hate it so much, lol. I really really want a Saturn Vue Hybrid in white :) But I agree with everyone else, you must post pictures!

Congratulations. Honda's are great cars and the value stays up better than others. I traded mine for an SUV before gas prices went up. Now I wish I had it back. :(

Nothing like the smell of a new car. Congratulations and good luck with
it. I bought a new one last year and still love it.:p 2008 Toyota Carolla.
My third Carolla.

You made a great choice!!! I bought a new honda civic EX in 2003. I'm still driving it and its about to be paid off at the end of this year. This car has been so good to me. The ONLY money I've had to put into it (besides regular oil changes and tires) was money to replace the brakes!!!

Thanks everyone! Im sooo glad to hear you all say Hondas are great! I have to agree, they really are! This is my first, but I have friends who SWEAR by them! I wish I could get out of here and go get it NOOOWWW but work is work and Im stuck until 5, then its about an hours ride (cuz of traffic) to go get it! buuummmeeerrr!!!! Im sooo excited! I was soooo nervous signing those papers last night... my hands were shaking! My financial situation is sooo tight now between the house and now a car payment... but I know I'll feel better paying for a new car than I will repairing an old unreliable car! I feel much better about it today though and am finally excited! Last night I was just in shock signing all the papers! I got home and looked at my financial spreadsheet and felt a little rush of excitement (not as dire as I had imagined) and now Im just flat out excited and happy! I remember buying my Cavalier new when I was 24, and the excitement of driving it off the lot! ooohhhh!!! :) :)
