My Grandbabies Nursery!

Okay tell me I am crazy but this is what I want to get for little Kaia Lotus's room. Its not cheap and I have to talk her mommy into it, but isn't gorgeous.:D This is my first grandbaby, so I should be able to spoil her if I want too...:rolleyes::D

My honest opinion is that it's gorgeous!!! I think it's just beautiful. OMG, I would be so excited!! :)

Kim I think that is beautiful!!!! I know when Kallee, my first grand was born, she was spoiled beyond words. I thought nothing of spending hundreds on dresses for her. Now that I have 4, they are lucky to get anything:D

I can imagine when they have more, they will get hand me downs, but this is my first and its a little girl, so I think I will get it for her.
Besides I am getting them the nursery furniture, so I will blackmail them, if they want the crib, dresser, and changing table, then let Grandma have her way this one time:eek::p:p:p:p:p

You're going to be a GRANDMA???????:eek::eek: When I read the title to the thread, I thought you were talking about a fur grandbabies nursery.:confused:

I could've sworn I've seen a picture of you before, or this is one of those theories where a person isn't what you pictured them to be, but whatever the case, for whatever reason, I am surprised as can be to hear that you are going to be a grandma. CONGRATULATIONS!:)

That nursery is beautiful and what a lucky little girl she will be with you as her grandma. I hope your daughter allows a first time grandma to "indulge" a little.

I think I'd just let her pick out what she wants for her baby and then you could help pay for something. Sometimes if you do too much, they start feeling obligated and then they don't like feeling that way. I've been thru this many times and made the mistake of doing too much.

Rose I am going to be the youngest grandma ever...:) No I am 43, and I feel it sometimes. I think she will let me its my daughter in law actually.:D

Can I be ur grandbaby???? :p That is one of the most beautiful lil girls rooms I have ever seen!! That is so me too! Where did you find that if I may ask?? My daughter is getting married in Oct and Im hoping that babies wont be too far behind!!!!

Kim you are the sweetest grandma ever! My mom was a really young grandma also and my daughter is so close to her. The nursery set is fit for a princess, which is of course what your granddaughter will be.:)

Beautiful! I have a cousin who was a great-grandmother when she was 47:eek:. I'm pretty sure she became a great-grandmother in her 60's. Congrats! I love that set.

My mother was a grandmother at 37 and so was my sister and then my mother was a great grandmother at 58 ... wow way too young ... I am 47 and just now got my first grandbaby. At any age it is such a blessing .

Kim ... want some Nonnie pointers?!? :p "Sieze the moment"!!! Set a "precident"! If you do this now, it will just become normal and you won't be constantly accused of spoiling and maybe noone will notice! Our first granddaughter is in college now and we also have 3 grandsons and our "baby" granddaughter just turned 5! I'm an old experienced Nonnie! We spoil all of 'em ... I have a huge "bag of tricks"!! I also have some great pointers re: how to be one step ahead of the "other" Grandmother! :sidesplt:

All kidding aside, congratulations! You are going to begin an adventure that will last forever! ;)

That is absolutely gorgeous! I love it, I decorate witht he shabby chic/vintage look and that is what this reminds me of.

I think it is faaaaaaaaaaabulous. I just went thru this with my first neice. I guess he child is the closest I will get to a grand child. We looked at so many but she couldnt find any she liked in brown and blue (boy) so i ended up making it for her. I wanted to do something special for her and she loved it

These days, it's probably not all that unusual for a person to be a grandma at
43. I just pictured you younger than that (or the picture I am thinking of, if it's you, doesn't look like someone who is 43). In any case, you are still much younger than me...........I became a grandma 7 years ago when I was 47.
