If you can't change your water so it doesn't causing them to itch, I don't know about there, but around here they have shops where you can go and bathe your dogs yourself. It's not as expensive as a groomer, but it's better than doing it at home.

I didn't see the monkey until now.....guess I was in one of my serious moods;) Probably the filter is your best bet.

The vinegar and water rinse takes out the hard water, kills bacteria and is a natural source of bug repellent. My grandmother used it on my hair all the time while I was growing up and I never got lice like most of the kids did in school. I use the distilled white vinegar on my dogs once a month to help clean out any hard water or bacteria build up.

Thank you !! is the ratio 1:4 ? I'm going today during lunch to grab some vinegar then looking to fix my shower so I stop looking like I have fleas....not to mention my poor girls - I've never seen them scratch like this. It happened last bath too so I know it's the water now.

I am glad someone mentioned the water filter because that was my first
thought.
Hope the baking soda helps you guys in the meantime. Scratching can
drive you nuts.

Yes, it very well could be the water. Home Depot sells a cheaper one, for ~$20...

Paragon Water Systems Shower Water Filter - P2201 at The Home Depot

Have you changed your laundry detergant or fabric softener or your sheets? That could also be a cause too...

Whoooo hoo - now thats in my price range - thank you !!! :thumbup:

and nope - I haven't changed one thing. Why I know it's the water now is I used a different shampoo for each this last bath to see what happened- & both are scratching at about the same rate ....it's bad when the whole bed shakes in the middle of the night.... :(

thank you for that link !! I have a Home Depo closeby and will def go get one...I went out in the pouring rain to get the vinegar today lol -

V Is the grass there been treated with something? if it has maybe thats making them itch and they are climbing all over you making you itch too. just a thought. hope you figure it out.
