Why would I be directing that post at you when I quoted and was responding to Stormy? Do you think you were in only person in the entire world that watched the race but didn't bet? |

If that was the case, I would have responded to your post, thread, or wherever you posted it (which I haven't even noticed it). This post was made much after the race and injury/death occurred. It was in response to that frustration. |

4 Attachment(s) This was bound to be a controversial thread...but lets try and be polite and respectful to each other...remember..positive posting!;) Who wants to see some more horsey pics?:p All the pictures are from the 1990's...and are from Whitsbury manor Stables, Hampshire UK. #1 Two work colleagues of mine schooling the jumpers. #2 Two very famous UK Racehorses...'Red Rum' meets 'Desert Orchid' (The grey) #3 Me riding a very sweet horse i used to take care of..'Hymn Of Harlech' #4 Another two colleagues of mine 'riding work'. |
Everybody OKAY here? This is a VERY heartbreaking situation - whether you agree with horse racing...or not. So, emotions are pretty high, understandably. Mine were too when I posted the thread about it this morning. Let's just try not to turn a heartbreaking situation against each other. I too know a few things about horses. I'll just say that in any money making business - you'll find all kinds of folks, with and without integrity. Some of these horses live tremendous lives - others, horrible lives. If you want a great peek into what may have *once* been the heart of racing - I cannot recommend highly enough this book: It kept me up for days reading...not bc of the racing...but bc of the heart of this horse. An amazing, inspiring creature! Don't mean to go off topic - but, there it is... |
