Anyone artists? I have a question for those who paint. Can I layer oil paint on top of acrylic paint? Also, for those who draw, how do you store your drawings? I have some larger ones and have no idea where to put them so that they don't get destroyed. I'm thinking that it'd be best to roll them but then what??? |
The title should read "Any artists?" Originally I had "Anyone paint?" Nobody better get on me for that! |
It would be best to use acrylic paint to paint over the acrylic, although I have used oil based stain to 'antique' some of my acrylic paintings, so it probably wouldn't hurt. For storing your drawings....how large are they? If they aren't huge, you could buy a large drawing pad and place them in between the pages. What is the medium...pencil, ink, chalk....??? It definitely makes a difference. |

Here's what I'm talking about: Large portfolio: Prat Start 1 Portfolio - BLICK art materials flat file: Safco Facil Flat Files - BLICK art materials large pads: (depends on the size of your drawings) Canson Classic Cream Drawing Pad - BLICK art materials hope that helps!! :) |
Thanks guys! I guess I'll just go with oils and skip the acyclic. Thanks for the suggestions on the storage too. They are pretty large so I think I'll get a big sketch pad. |

You should at least post your favorite one. What do you paint? I think that is awesome. |
