Other breeds you own/love?
 
What other breed of dogs do you own in addition to your Yorkies? If you dont own any others, what is another breed you adore?

I am a total Terrier nut.....I have Parson Russell Terriers (Jack Russells) and just lost my Yorkie, so when the time is right I will get another. I dont think I would own any other breed besides those two. Well, I take that back....my DH LOVES German Shepherds (as do I) and when we sell our condo and build our house he wants to get one. So we will have my dogs and his Shepherd (German Shepherds used to be my fav breed, I grew up with them and my mother used to show them). My ideal doggie family would include 2-3 more Russells, 1 Yorkie and DH's Shepherd. For a grand total of 7 dogs!

I have my two yorkies, Tootie and Hope, and Tinker(chi mix) and Laci(YLab) and we have a cat "Me-Kitty" who has no idea he is a cat... hehe....
I LOVE all my babies!

I've recently fallen in love with both Austrailian Shepherds and Greyhounds. I hope to own both in the future.

I love my Skye Terrier!!!!!!!!!!(but they arent too good with the Yorkies or any other breeds)

I have 2 Chihuahuas! Baby & Bitsy and they have very similar personalities to Yorkies!! They are both sassy, stubborn and smart!!

I currently own one Silky Terrier, Captain, and an showing a female Heaven as a speical. They are so much like yorkies but have a more laid back attitude and love to play in the backyard!! LOL

My four yorkies, a rescued 9mo maltese female, and a 3yo 5# shih tzu. I've been thinking about getting a big doggies, but keep procrastinating. I think I'd like to rescue a young Springer Spaniel.

Great thread I get to show off our other furbabies :D along with our yorkies we also have Miniature Schnauzers Pepper will be 3 in May and our newest addition Lilly is 8 weeks old. :p

besides pebbles and her pups we also share our home with lizzy-4year old beagle(the love of my life.. lol) murphey.. a 2 year old pointer that was abandoned at my work when he was 10 weeks.. and mandy a 10 year old Akita.
not to mention... 2 cats... 2 birds...a rabbit that adopted us(he refuses to leave our back yard) and a salt water fish tank.

can you tell i love animals :-)

We also have our Black Lab Lucee. I just love Labs, they have the sweetest dispositions but they shed like crazy! If we ever get another dog down the road I'm sticking to the Yorkie, they're sweet, loving and DON'T SHED!:D

Cocker Spaniels. :) Had one when I lived with my Aunt as a child. LOVED him to pieces! He was a total blast! Unfortunately, with how often we move, cockers are much too big.

Also, Great Danes. Had one of those, as well. He was the sweetest guy ever. You couldn't ask for a better dog. We DEFINITELY can't have one of those with our lifestyle.

....an 11 mo. old rescue Pommie.

Now what else would I like? .....Irish Setter, Papillon, Lab, Golden, any dog that looks at me with its soulful eyes....

I'd love to run a doggie daycare center. Then I'd have access to all sorts of breeds for a few hours and then send them home with their momma and daddy.:D

I have a 4 year old Bichon Frise, Chloe' who is the best dog in the world!!!! She is such a love!!!

I had a Minature Schnauzer, who weighed 12 lbs. She was wonderful.

We have Myah, a yorkie who is 4 1/2 months and is a sweetheart.

We also have a cat, who showed up in our yard last summer...I think we are going to have kittens soon:rolleyes: A bird and fish. I'm the animal lover.

I'm a fan of mutts.. if y'all hadn't figured that out by now, lol.

We have:
Slade: yorkie/poodle mix
Schatzie: yorkie/chi mix
Laney: pitbull/???? mix
Lucy: beagle/ ?pointer? mix

I would love to eventually have a purebred golden and another Bichon... rescues of course. But I'm sure some needy mutt will steal my heart next time I go to adopt :)

You sound like me! I joke that I could charge admission for kids to come to my house. I have Sugar (my yorkie), Rem (mini schnauzer), a cat, 2 guinea pigs, a lizard, and a 45 gallon aquarium. I love yorkies and believe that I'll always have a yorkie in my life from now on and Rem has won me over also so I'll probably stick to yorkies and mini schnauzers. I'm glad my hubby is able to talk me out of bringing home animals because, as you can tell, I find it hard to turn any away.

In addition to our 6 month old Yorkie, Paisley, we have an 11 month old Lab. Milely is the best! She is great with my kids.
