I result I got was The West....kinda funny seeing that I speak appalachian |
I have a Midland Accent. Funny - I was born and raised in Florida, moved to Georgia as a Teen, lived there for 10 years before getting married and moving to Denver, Michigan, New Mexico and then back to Georgia. To anyone who has heard my voice -- I DON'T HAVE AN ACCENT -- what you are hearing is a figment of your immagination! |
I got Northeast and they're right:) |
The Inland North! Born and raised in Ohio! I do call carbonated beverages Pop! |
The Midlands here...did you find yourself sounding out the words to really see if they sounded different? |
Your Result: The Inland North You may think you speak "Standard English straight out of the dictionary" but when you step away from the Great Lakes you get asked annoying questions like "Are you from Wisconsin?" or "Are you from Chicago?" Chances are you call carbonated drinks "pop." I have noticed so many different "regional accent's" in Michigan. The UP is different from the Trolls (you know, us that live below the bridge). The Western UP has more of a Scandinavian input. The SouthWestern part of the state has a mixture of Southern & Chicago. The counties that border Indiana pick up some of the Northern Indiana accents & pronunciations. |
Mine came out boston. |
What? Am I only person here that talks right and has no accent? :D JK, mine is inland North. Pretty good, since that's where I live. We do get accused of having nasal A's. |
Im Philly |
What American Accent do you have? The Midland "You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saving "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Flordia or Charleston or one o fthose big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. Youu have a good voice for TV and radio. Well...I am from Southern Ohio so I guess this quiz hit the nail on the head! |
