Thanks Sharon This information is most helpful....thanks for posting it Sharon for all of us Furminator tool users ...I now have a clearer understanding. I will use it more sparingly on my Yorkies...and only when I need to and not too often. Nikeann07:) |
you are welcomeQ isnt this great!! now, im reading about bad breath. VERY interesting. almost EVERYONE says it is probably the teeth. alot of owners babies have (or had) double rows of teeth, so hopefully when mcdreamy gets neutured. it will be gone. |
I use the Furminator on my Westie, and it works great. Edie, my Yorkie, does not shed, so I do not use it on her. The instructions say not to use it on "non-shedding" dogs. |
ExacTLY, but some do use it, thats why i contaacted the company, got the reply, and thought i woud post it... |
I have ordered one for my "shedding dog." I got it on e-bay a whole lot cheaper than any web site I found. I wouldn't use it on my Yorkies... |
I got mine last week and for my "shedder" I think it works great! The "teeth" on it are so tiny that you think it couldn't possibly do anything, but it really does work.:D I would recommend it if someone asked me!! |
I like the ferminator also [F][/FONT]:animal-pa I like the fine teeth on the comb...it gets out the tangles on my Yorkie's legs..I do use it carefully and not often...it thins out the coat which I find helpful and cooler in the summer months for my Yorkies...You have to go slow and be gentle about it...and not over do it with to many passes over the same area...just one pass with the furminator on my Yorkie...is really enough. ...never on a Maltese! It really should be used for shedding breeds. Anyway ...that is my opinion on the tool Nikeann07 |
I would not use this On my yorkie All it would do it damage the hair. |
i don't have any experience with this but it seems to be an awesome tool...i have 1 yorkie that has a cottony type coat..so maybe this will help him some...hehe...i will have to do some more research ..hehe |
