Im angry with another Mother - YorkieTalk.com Forums

She and I have never really hit it off but Ive put up with her and kept my mouth shut but now Im seeing red. Shes always said I was "that kind" of person. Meaning I have a TV(the horror) and my daughter goes to PUBLIC school

But shes never said anything to my daughter. Now she attacking my daughter and calling her a gossip and saying shes causing a rift in the class. Susposably my daughter is telling everyone she is the "nice" Alyssa and the other Alyssa is the "mean" alyssa. I would question if it is happening except my daughter has been friends with the other Alyssa for 4 years and they get along fine. I truthfully think its something shes doing since she doesnt like me. Ive asked other Moms if there was something I missed witth the girls and NONE have a clue. Shes bringing the mother bear out in me.
Its all not really a big deal in the long run but right this minute its hard to take. Thabks for letting me vent.

You should be upset! and acting like a "mother bear" is what you should do when your child is in harm's way!

The lady is wrong- they are kids- leave them out of what ever is bugging her!

I am so sorry that you are going through this. Girls can be so vicious! I see it every day and makes my blood boil every time. Our counselor is in constant demand, trying to put out fires. It really gets nasty when a mother encourages the conflicts. We've implemented a bullying program in our school but I'm not sure that I see any difference. Girls are so sneaking with their meanness. Would you feel comfortable talking to your school counselor? Don't blame you for wanting to protect her. Give your daughter an extra hug tonight. I really feel for her.

I'm glad I'm past those years. I assume that some of this is happening at school? Can you ask the teacher for an unbiased review of the girls' relationship at school? Maybe that will help sort out girl problems from mom problems! It's hard to know what NOT to do to NOT make things worse than they are.

When someone calls you "that kind of person" and judges you having a TV and a daughter in public school, she is only making herself look bad. Although I would be seeing red too...try to do all you can to rise above this obviously insecure and negative woman. Any attempts you can make to keep this woman as far away from you and your daughter is best......good luck to you. You dont deserve this treatment AT ALL. And even if your daughter said anything of the sort....she is a child....for this ADULT to be talking and acting the way she is really sinks herself to a lower level of immaturity than the two "Alyssa's!!"

Oh I feel for you. When my kids were little I was always known as the mama bear. You should just explain to your daughter that this woman is a bully and needs to be ignored. Then just say to people "it's too bad she has such low self esteem and has to pick on a little kid. I feel sorry for her" That will get your message across! Good luck!
