I got a pair of the journey earings for my Bday (3/13) I'm so awful :p I returned them, they were a karat. They just didn't look good the way my ears were pierced. I'll probably never get anything from him again LOL. I still have my engagement ring that's 1.5 Karat in a princess cut, platinum. I LOVE IT! :D |

When it comes to diamonds, I think size is irrelevant, UNLESS ur a guy! Diamonds are a girls best friend (after yorkies) as Marilyn said so well, but C"MON, some of these guys wear bling that is just ridiculous!! diamonds of any size look great on lots of ppl but I just think when guys wear BIG BLING it looks dumb. I was doubly blessed, first to be the only girl in a family of boys so that meant all the heirlooms went to MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! And second, I have a wonderful husband who adds to my diamond collection ALOT! I wear 6 cts total ( 3 in each ear) everyday, and I also have a diamond bracelet and cross that I wear everyday as well as my wedding bands. My girlfriend had a baby girls 7 years ago and I taught her her first word.......Diamonds!!! her dad had this look on his face like oh s*** Im in big trouble now!! LOL So now you have my 2 cents. lol |

I wear diamond studs on a daily basis as its easy and they go with everything. I personally think if you are going to wear them daily I like small and dainty as it goes with casual clothes great. My husband already bought some beautiful but tiny diamonds studs off ebay for $79 for my baby Tess, and they have gorgeous clarity. I was really impressed since that is such a cheap price. You might try lookign on ebay. I know it can be scary sometimes to order something like diamond earrign off of ebay but just make sure the seller has a lot of feedback and gives you all the info on the diamonds and also that they have a satisfaction guarantee. :) |

I got a pair of small diamond studs for my 30th birthday. I wore them everyday until a few months ago. I lost one, and can't find it. It either went down the drain or Murphy ate it. I'm waiting until the price of jewelry goes down until I get another pair. |
I wear 1/2 ct square studs in the second hole every day. I go back and forth between hoops and lever back gold earrings in the first hole. I LOVE diamonds. I've worn them every day for years. If you get diamond stud earrings, make sure you get screw on backs. It may cost a little more - but the peace of mind is worth it. |
My dh gave me a pair for xmas about 15 years ago. They have only been out of my ears for cleaning since getting them. I love them and will keep on wearing them. |
I wear my diamond studs daily. My boyfriend bought them for me almost nine years ago (yes he's still my boyfriend and that's another thread for another time). My backs screw on so I don't have to worry about losing them. It's not practical is you take them off daily because they're a little hard to get off but if you only take them off to clean them it's worth the little bit of extra $. I did have to have them replaced last fall because the threads had been worn down but I think it only cost about $40. If you are concerned about losing your diamond studs, screw on backs are the way to go. |

Bling......Bling......treat yourself! I've got 6 diamond studs on right now. They start out on the bottom with 3/4carat, the middle is 1/2 carat, and the top is 1/4 carat. I feel naked without them. I also have 6 very very small diamonds for maybe the beach, or boating. You get what you want girl. Diamonds are very classy. You can tell the difference in a CZ and a diamond, but maybe that doesn't matter. I wore CZ's mounted in white gold before I got my diamonds. If you can afford it, get the real thing. You can't have too many of them. Most jewelry stores will let you trade them in for full value if you purchase an item that is twice the value of your original purchase! Keep trading them in and you can end up with huge diamonds. I've done that with my right finger ring, I just keep trading them in every 3 or 4 years. Diamonds are a girls second best friend! Yorkies are first! |

Just saw this thread....... YES, I wear mine daily. After we sold our old house and "had money to burn" LOL, my hubby finally bought me a pair of princess cut studs - 1/2 carat each. I wear them every single day. The one thing I wanted to mention though is at the first store we looked at, there was a saleslady wearing two pairs in each ear. They looked fake and cheap! You know why? They were DIRTY! I say if you're gonna wear diamond studs, bring on the sparkle!! I take mine out every night when I get home (along with all my other jewelry) and then in the morning I wipe the surfaces with a tiny diamond cleaning cloth I have in my jewelry box. That's because I tend to use hairspray sometimes during the day and it gets on the earrings. I LOVE the sparkle of my diamonds and wear them with everything! Since you said you're saving up, be sure to pay attention to the 3 C's.... cut, color and clarity. You can get away with a semi-flawless diamond if it has a good color. I personally wouldn't pay the big bucks just to get a flawless stone. The color is very important though. Good luck saving for them! |
