The Call came today :( I really need your thoughts and Prayers.

I got the call today that I kinda knew was going to come, but really didn't want to think about.:cry:

My Grandmother 69 years young found out today that she has 6 months to live :(
she has terminal CANCER.:cry: It is in her lungs, liver, and larynx. Stage 4.

My family all lives and Florida.. I will be flying out this week to go be with them.
We could really use YT and there Prayers for strength.

I am going down this weekend for the family reunion. so we will all be together.

Please Please keep all of us in your prayer but especially Gramma. I really need YT and you all now.:cry:

Lori if you need to chat give me a shout. I am so sorry hon. Please know your all in my prayers. Tell grannie and family to be positive..it definitely helps. I tell you my grandmother lived 6 years even though they said 6 months.

There is nothing that can prepare you may god give you and your grandma strenght in your time of need

My mom does not have long, but she is not quite "ready" yet apparently. On Easter, our whole family got together in her room. (One hint - beware of overwhelming with too many people at one time if she is at all sensitive to that.) Afterward I told my mom that, no matter how long or short she feels her life has been or what pain she's been through or what she'll still suffer, that weekend had to be the epitome of her entire life..... to look on with pride at all the faces of family (and friends) whose lives she had either molded or touched. I hope that your visit with your grandma and family is the same type of visit. I hope I have that same thing at the end of my life.

The end of our lives here need only be bad if they are scary or painful. She sounds like a wonderful person, so if she (and you all) can look over her loved ones and realize the great family she has helped create (far greater than anything a president or financial wizard ever created or did), you will have this visit's memory to cherish forever. And remember, it won't necesarily be your last.... just an important one. I hope that it is simply awe-inspiring for all of you.

I am very sorry to hear the news about your Grandmother. May she be comforted by all the love and support from her family. Remembering your Gramma & the family in my prayers!

Your in my prayers. I don\'t want to give you false hope or anything, but my grandmother, much older than yours had cancer in the last stages, they sent her home on Hospice 3 months to live, she refused chemo......Anyway, that was about 4 years ago and she never quit her daycare job, she is still working and has gained all her weight back, looks great. Miracles really do still happen......just pray hard and believe.
